Variety Bash certainly made an impact on our school on Tuesday 21 May 2019. With over 100 cars parked
on the top oval and 314 people to cater for lunch, the school was a hive of activity,
Year 11/12 Hospitality students helped cater for the day and a big thank you to Batlow Rotary for bringing
the barbecues and cooking for the lunch.
Students were entertained by the very clever magician. They were given presents and lollies to celebrate
the day. The Variety Bash granted the school $3,703.05 to purchased IPads and two outdoor table settings
for the senior courtyard.
As well as the above grant, the bashers presented us with: books for the library, sporting equipment,
scrapbooking equipment, colour pencils, textas, rulers, Lego, hats, colouring books, dinosaurs and
educational games. The generosity of this group of people was overwhelming and Batlow Technology
School is extremely grateful for the donations.
Thank you to the following cars for the donations:
Car 035, ‘The Cat in the Hat’ book, Team Tonka, Disney Words, Dinosaur Pack, National Motorbike
Museum, The Flintstones, Car 85, Car 412, Miami Mice, ‘Ho Ho Ho Santa’ books, Daracon Car, Juice Plus
and Star Realty.
Michelle Wainwright, Relieving Principal
On Tuesday 21 of May a lot of people came to visit BTS. There was a magician and he used Lily and Adam to help him do magic. He made these cards so tiny. There were loads of costumes. There were dinos, pirate, princess, cats and even Thing 1. Everyone got lots and lots of toys and lollies. Thanks to all the visits, our school got loads of stuff. We got two more iPads some more Lego and load of other stuff and cars.

Lots of people were dressed
in costumes. They were
beautiful princesses, Thing,
Batman and Robin.
My favourite costume was the
magician.
Magic show, raising money
for kids who are sick.
Cars: Datsun, Holden, Ford,
Isuzu, Nissan, Toyota,
superaged.
They were lots of cars!
Thomas Rowley Year 5
Yesterday was the variety bash,
the drivers were giving out lollies,
colouring books and stickers.
The clothes they were wearing
were based on different things
like the Flintstones, lighting
McQueen and other sorts of stuff.
The cars were all paddock
bashers. The brands were like
Toyotas, Holden’s, Fords,
Datsun’s, Honda, Nissans and
lux. At the end show there was a
‘magician’ to keep us all safe and
entertained. It was very fun.

My favourite part of the Variety Bash
day was the Magic show, cars, lollies,
Batman and Robin, Hulk, the stuff, the
Smurfs, the Flintstones, food, the
Minions, the dinosaur and Thing 1.
Adam Dubois-Dowling Year 3
My favourite part of the Variety Bash day was when
they gave us all of the stuff like the books, lollies,
keyrings, slime, toys and stickers. The man was funny
too, when he pulled underpants under Adam’s shirt. It
was so funny! There was a costume on Batman. Then
my last favourite was the slime and the Flintstones and
I liked the dinosaur.
Juno Sweeney Year 3
My favourite part of the Variety Bash day was the magic
show and how he turned the rabbit black. So, first, the rabbit
was black then we scared the rabbit and it turned white but
he turned the door around so we made him show us and we
went up and he was a real magician! He gave Adam and Lily
C boy and girl cooties, it was so funny. My favourite car was
The Purple People Eaters.
Harlee Crain Year 2
My favourite part of the Variety Bash
day was the Magic show because he
was an actual magician, he was from
Super Squad and he was really funny.
He made the cards smaller and smaller.
