Founded in 2009 by Tom Gauthier to disrupt the Web.
The Web could be so much more than static 2D pages. It’s been changing recently with the emergence of 360° and 3D Web contents but we could go even further than this. Our dream is to bring the entire web to virtual reality because “The metaverse is too big of an opportunity… for an app store” (Tony Parisi, co-creator of VRML and VR pioneer). A collaborative and open-source approach to VR will enhance content creation and sharing, provide a frictionless access to users and boost mass public adoption.
Since its creation in 2009, V-Cult has been a WebGL expert - WebGL is a JavaScript API for rendering interactive 3D computer graphics and 2D graphics within any compatible web browser and any device without the use of plug-ins. 2 million euros were invested in R&D allowing us to develop our own proprietary technology among the most advanced in the world. Our team was honoured to be part of Silicon Valley’s VR startup accelerator Boost VC in summer 2015 to drive the development of our social platform Beloola.com in virtual reality. Our company is now recognized as a major player in the WebVR ecosystem, the API allowing the browser to provide native virtual reality experiences.
