Welcome to V magazine As you all know, all good things eventually come to an end. It is true in the case of the school newspaper. You will no longer receive the traditional Voices newspaper; instead you will be able to go online and receive all your VHS informa-tion via the online magazine known simply as “V”.

Many students have asked. “Why are we not getting the school newspaper anymore?” The simple truth to this question is cost. It’s very expensive to pub-lish a traditional newspaper. More and more nationally recog-nized newspapers have also stopped printing hardcopies and have gone to the softcopy form of delivering the news. As far as changes are con-cerned, this is a great thing. As you will notice in this month’s issue, media content will be more appealing than the traditional black & white newspaper that you are familiar with. As time progresses, changes will be made that will be even more exciting, providing you with more reasons to check out each month’s issue. We are excited to bring you up-to-date editorials, articles, contest, and photos that will be nothing more than brilliant. Our goal is to produce an award winning school publication that everyone in the school and community can appreciate. So, keep an eye out for next months issue.

Vallivue FFA Competes in Moscow for State CDE’s

The Vallivue FFA members traveled to Moscow, Idaho to compete in the State Career Development Events. These events test the knowledge and skills of the members. The Vallivue FFA had members competing in Dairy Foods, Food Science and Technology, Meat Judging, Dairy Judging, Livestock Judging, Forestry, Agriculture Mechanics, and Environment and Natural Re-sources.

The teams that placed in the top ten were Dairy Foods, Food Science and Technol-ogy, and Environment and Natural Resources. Dairy Foods received third place, Food Science and Technol-ogy placed seventh, and Envi-ronment and Natural Re-sources came in third. Overall it was a very successful year and the members look for-ward to improving their teams and competing again next year.

Varsity Football Athlete of the MonthAthlete of the month: Emir DurmicQuote: “Trample the weak, hurdle the dead.”Height: 6’Weight: 240

The Vallivue Falcon’s Offensive line is going to be great this year, thanks partly to who the players refer to as “Bozz”. Everybody else around the campus calls him Emir. He has been playing football since 7th grade. His role models include his parents and Muhammad Ali. He enjoys history in school and after he graduates he plans on going to college, and possibly playing football. His favorite college team is Notre Dame. Coach Coffin describes him as “A great kid”. Hopefully our Falcon’s will play well this season. They have already pummeled Sky-view and had a close win against Rocky Mountain. Also, our falcons most recent victory was against Borah. From what we’ve heard, Caldwell is gearing up for a tough game. Go Falcons!

Explain your style and what’s unique about it?

Falon: My style is half high fash-ion, a quarter 80’s and a quarter bandy, and 100% unconventional.

What is your must have acces-sory?

Falon: I ALWAYS need a neck-lace, preferably more than one. I like to over accessorize without OVER accessorizing, if you know what I mean.

How did you come across your style?

Falon: I really can’t say, I’ve never said, “Okay, today I’m going to be stylish.” That’s just always been me.

What do you think about the other styles roaming around Vallivue?

Falon: Oh Gosh… don’t get me started. There are select bunches walking around who have hit the target, and a lot who have missed it com-pletely.
