Mr. & Mrs. Julian Mendoza To add names for birthdays, an

We Care met a t the EMS building Monday night. About 40 people showed up to help tie ribbons and volun teer to help the Red Cross. Skeet Engle, will chair the We Care Program and keep everyone informed on our soldiers and any information she gets from the Red Cross. We have 4 drop off boxes right now, Secu rity Bank , First State Bank, Abell F lower Shop and Abernathy City Hall. Teenie Burnett, Jenny Blanco and Skeet Engle will pick up these items each week and sort them for the Red Cross.

We desperately need money donations to help with postage and packaging. Red Cross has the boxes, they just need manpower to sort donated items and package them. All items have to be inspec ted by the military before they will ship anything out.

Anything we gather for the troops will go to them, but the

military and Red Cross will determine where they go and where they are most needed.

We will not tell them any cer ta in soldier to send it to, we are just wanting to help all our soldiers. We have several soldiers from Abernathy and we hope to get them a ll listed in the Abernathy Weekly Review.

lfyou can help with a don ation please take it to Security Bank, First State Bank or Abernathy City Hall. We will see that it gets taken to the Red Cross.

Please send us your soldiers name and address so we can give to a ll the churches, and put their names in the Weekly Review, if you have a picture to spare send that also. Send to We Care, 311 Ave. J., Abernathy 79311 or call one of us with the information.

Any questions you may call J enny, Teenie or Skeet.

Thanks, Skeet Engle
