The second series comprises the following workshops: Item Writing and Scoring Rubrics Setting Standards and Reporting Results These workshops series, to be conducted by experts from ETS’ diverse portfolios, will cover the processes of test development, item writing and scoring rubrics, psychometric principles, item response theory plus standards-setting and reporting of results. Dr. Eugenio Gonzalez is currently a Strategic Advisor at ETS, and the director of the IEA-ETS Research Institute (IERI) that focuses on improving the science of large-scale assessments. He was also head of the Research & Analysis Unit at the IEA-Data processing & Research Center. Dr. Gonzalez also formerly served as director of quality control and field operations at the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) and while at Boston College, oversaw the development and implementation of TIMSS and PIRLS. Dr. Gonzalez obtained his doctorate from Boston College. This workshop will be a great opportunity for practitioners, educators, researchers and students who would like to increase their understanding and ability to implement different ways to set cut scores and establish performance standards for different levels of knowledge, skills, and abilities. Participants will also learn about the steps common to judgmental standard setting procedures and different approaches to evaluating the validity of each of the procedures. Who | should attend

INTRODUCTION

MIMOS-ETS International Psychometrics Workshop, organised
