It does not feel right to mention detailed

technical solutions when describing the

Valmet 921C. Although it is a harvester

with many exciting technical details,

that is not really the point.

The Valmet 921C is the result of evolu-

tion. We designed it from the ground up,

and throughout the process we applied

the principle that the machine is for

people, not the reverse.

All details are mutually adapted to crea-

te a user-friendly, powerful whole. All

systems interact so effectively that you

cannot avoid noticing the difference.

Large, strong and stable

To be able to cope with truly demanding

tasks, a large harvester such as the

Valmet 921C must be strong and stable.

This applies to the crane and the harves-

ter head, of course, but also to the engi-

ne, hydraulics and other parts of the

basic machine.

Valmet 921CThe harvester fordemanding felling

THE VALMET 921C IS DESIGNED INEVERY RESPECT FOR DEMANDINGFINAL FELLING.

It must also have a control and marking

system which meets the requirements

of rational final felling, yet still operates

on your terms. The internal environment

must be a fitting workplace for the

twenty-first century. This imposes con-

siderable demands on both functionality

and comfort. That is why the Valmet

921C is a harmonious balance between

form and function. And it is designed to

generate all the power that you

experience when working in it.

The machine must also show the great-

est possible respect for the external

environment, from the humus layer to

the ozone layer.

The Valmet 921C is all of these – a

harvester without compromises.

ALL THE TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS MAKE THE DRIVER’S WORK EASIER. TELESCOPIC OR PARALLEL KNUCKLE BOOM CRANE?THE CHOICE IS YOURS.

No matter how advanced you make a

machine, with new and smarter techni-

cal solutions, it is still the driver who has

to do the job. Performance is directly

dependent on how the driver functions

at his workplace. That is why we de-

voted a lot of effort to developing the

driver’s environment so that you enjoy

your work and can achieve an even

better result.

The Valmet 921C has a comfortable cab

with large, curved safety screens for an

excellent view and more relaxed work-

ing. Efficient air conditioning means

fresh air and the right temperature for

you at all times. The temperature can be

set individually at floor level and ceiling

level for maximum comfort. The interior

trim is designed for high clarity and

functionality.

A level workplace - always

The cab sits on a slew ring which is

tiltable in all directions. Unevenness in

the terrain is fully compensated, and

the physical stresses on the driver are

reduced.

COMFORT AND CONTROL,IT’S ALL IN THE DETAIL.

Driver’s environmentCreated for maximumcomfort and total control

The spacious cab naturally slews with

the crane, just like its siblings, the Val-

met 901.1 and 911.1. Getting in and out

of the cab is easy, and a smart ladder

makes the daily service points readily

accessible.

Extra equipment in the form of crane

damping and the AutoLev automatic

tilting and levelling system let you sit in

even greater comfort. The machine can

also be supplied with an automatically

extending cab access ladder and a

hydraulic ladder.

MaxiHarvester ensures optimalperformance

A good driver’s environment includes

having maximum control over the

machine. That is why we have created

MaxiHarvester, the digital interface

between you and your machine. Maxi-

Harvester controls marking and handles

the control of the machine. The system

is user-friendly, so that you can obtain

everything that the machine has to offer

in all situations and adapt it to your

personal way of working.

You can work longer in the Valmet 921C

– with no loss of accuracy. You can take

shrewd marking decisions even as you

approach the end of your shift.

Operating economySmart, technical detailssimplify mainenance

The larger the machine and the more

technology it incorporates, the more

important is its ease of maintenance.

Not only when operating, but also

during service.

That is why we have taken such great

care to ensure that the Valmet 921C is

easy to maintain. Look closely, and you

will discover a long series of carefully

thought-out details which together form

a unique whole. For example, most of

the service points have been brought to

a point below the lift-up service hatch.

And the engine cover, together with the

daily service points, are electrically

actuated. Both covers have built-in

service lighting.

You will recognize many of the compo-

nents, because the Valmet 921C shares

component modularity with our other

machines. This makes it easier for you

and your service providers to stock the

necessary parts.

CAREFULLY THOUGHT-OUTSOLUTIONS GIVE GOODACCESSIBILITY.

Lower centre of gravity, higherground clearance

The Valmet 921C is both strong and

stable. The centre of gravity is lower

than in the 901.1 and 911.1, and yet the

ground clearance is significantly higher.

The frame is designed to match the size

of the machine, and the Valmet 921C is

based on the same concept and sub-

stantial technical know-how as in earlier

machines.

This is without any doubt the most

powerful harvester that we have ever

built, and yet it has retained its flexibility.

Telescopic or parallel crane, thechoice is yours

We can supply both a telescopic and a

parallel crane for your Valmet 921C.

The Valmet concept, proven in service

for 25 years, with its durable and simple

telescopic crane, in this case in the form

of the Cranab 1600, is ideal for those

who are involved mainly in final felling.

To further increase the range of appli-

cation, we also offer a parallel knuckle

boom crane: the Cranab CRH 16. This

allows you to fell close to the machine

and is ideal for those who work both in

late thinning and in final felling operations.

The most common harvester heads are

the Valmet 360 and 370 and the tried

and tested Valmet 960 or 965.

Engine and hydraulics in perfectharmony

To match the powerful hydraulics, the

Valmet 921C is fitted with a 7.4-litre

turbo diesel engine with a wastegate

and intercooler. Very high torque at low

speed saves fuel and reduces the noise

level. Both the engine and the cooling

and hydraulics are adapted for heavy

loading at low speeds.

Valmet 921C is big in every respect. But

it also lets you do all the heavy felling

jobs. Without compromises.
