Keep free of dust, lint, hair and anything that may reduce airflow.Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.Turn all controls off before unplugging.Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.Do not use the vacuum cleaner on any flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be present.Hold the plug when rewinding onto the cable reel. Do not allow the plug to whip when rewinding.Unplug before connecting the hose.Do not vacuum anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.Do not use without cylinder/filters in place.If the supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by a professional in order to avoid hazard.This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabili-ties, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

PREVENTION

Switch off the vacuum cleaner immediately if the air intakes, floor brushes or telescopic tube becomes blocked. Before starting the vacuum cleaner up again remove the cause of the blockage.

Never use the vacuum cleaner in the immediate vicinity of heat sources and do not suck up hot objects such as cigarette ends or ashes.

Only place the plug in the socket when your hands are dry.

Remove large sharp objects from the floor before using the vacuum cleaner to avoid any possible damage to it and yourself.

Do not pull by the mains cable when pulling out the plug.

PREPARING THE VACUUM CLEANERFit the hose on the vacuum cleaner by insertingthe hose connector into the vacuumcleaner until you hear a click. To remove,press the button at the side of the hoseconnector and pull it out.

2. Assemble the telescopic tube and accessories:

Adjust the length of the telescopic tube by pushingthe locking mechanism down and pulling in the bottom section of the tube to a suitable length.When storing, shorten the tube as far as possible.

2.3 Fit the floor brush into the telescope tube.

2.1 Fit the telescopic tube into the other end of the hose.

Floor Nozzle

The floor nozzle has two settings. When cleaning hard surfaces (parquet flooring, flooring tiles, etc.), the nozzle brushes should be extended. When cleaning carpets and mats, the brushes should be retracted into the nozzle. Press A or B to switch between the two settings.

Crevice NozzleFor radiators, corners, skirtings, etc.

Before using the device first pull out a sufficient length of cable and plug into the mains socket. The yellow mark on the cable is the maximum length and must not be exceeded.

To switch on the device, press the button on the casing with your foot.

To rewind the power cable, press the button with one hand and guide the cable with the other hand to ensure that it does not whip.

Emptying Dust Container

Empty the dust container when the contents reach the “MAX” mark or the suction power has dropped:

Switch off the vacuum cleaner and disconnect the plug from the mains. Always pull on the plug and not on the cable.

Release the container by pressing down the release button.

Lift the container forwards out of the cylinder vacuum cleaner.

When emptying the dust container, hold it low over the dustbin.

Press the open button. The base opens and the dust runs into the dustbin.

Carefully knock the remaining dust loose.

Close the base.

Place the dust container onto the vacuum cleaner.

Check that the dust container is securely seated.

Turn off and unplug the vacuum cleaner.

Remove the dust container.

Open the dust container cover and take the filter out.

Hold the filter inside a dustbin and gently knock against the side.

Place the motor filter back into its holder.

Replace the filter cover by hooking it precisely from above first. Then engage the lock by pressing until it audibly clicks into place.

Place the dust container back onto the cylinder vacuum cleaner.

Check that the dust container is securely seated.

Cleaning the Motor Filter

Cleaning the Exhaust Air FilterThe HEPA exhaust air filter cleans the air a final time before it leavesthe vacuum cleaner. You can clean this filter as follows:

IMPORTANT! Never use the vacuum cleaner without a motor filter.

IMPORTANT! Never clean the HEPA filter with soap or cleaning agent.

Switch off the vacuum cleaner and disconnect the plug from the mains. To do this always pull on the plug and not on the cable.

Remove the dust container.

Open the exhaust filter cover and remove the HEPA filter.

Rinse the filter under cold running water only, and allow to dry for 24 hours.

Put the filter back into place.

Close the exhaust filter cover.

DISPOSAL INFORMATION

WARRANTY

You can lift and carry the vacuum cleaner using the carry handle. Never pull or lift the vacuum cleaner by the cable.

Before putting the vacuum cleaner away, rewind the cable. Switch off the socket, unplug, and press the cable rewind button until it is fully rewound.

To save space, the vacuum cleaner can be stored upright on its end cover. The telescopic tube can be hung on the vacuum cleaner by inserting the parking fixture into the vertical parking holder.

Clean the vacuum cleaner by wiping it with a damp cloth.You must not use any form of strong, solvent or abrasive cleaning agent.

Waste electrical products should not be disposed of with household waste. Please recycle where facilities exist. Check with your local authority for recycling advice.

Your new Dihl product is supplied with a warranty of 12 months from the date of purchase.The product must be used in the manner indicated within this manual.Any abuse of any parts of the product will invalidate the warranty.
