Valentine's Day

Lovers day at 14

th February.

The name is derived from St. Valentine.

The main custom is sending letters with love

poems and giving little gifts to somebody special. InGreat Britain and USA

St. Valentine is saint patron of this day.

History of this feast isn't really known to this day. All of legends

have their own followers. Maybe it comes from Roman Empire custom

which consists in looking for your soul mate.

The British think that this feast belongs to them, because sir Walter Scott made it

famous. 14th February is the day when birds on British Islands start mating.
