Attendance & TEKS change• This year attendance is extremely important:

just ask your child how much learning we endure with and through each other every day!

• The curriculum is extremely fast paced because this year we are bridging the gaps of TEKS that were not taught last year and are now taken out of 4th grade curriculum

• Every moment matters! I tell my students that every instructional moment matters and there is no down time during class instructional time

Stepping Stones as our curriculum resource for the year

Math – How can you help?

• The jump from 3rd grade to 4th grade is large and students will need reinforcement at home:**Khan Academy and Learnzillion is a great resource for reviewing a concept.

• Make sure students know their Multiplication facts!

**It relates to all areas of mathematics.**Multiplication Slide and other apps for fluency
