Installation

Electrical connection

Warning! Risk of fire andelectrical shock.

• All electrical connections should be madeby a qualified electrician.

• The appliance must be earthed.• Make sure that the parameters on the

rating plate are compatible with theelectrical ratings of the mains powersupply.

• Always use a correctly installedshockproof socket.

• Do not use multi-plug adapters andextension cables.

• Make sure not to cause damage to themains plug and to the mains cable.Should the mains cable need to bereplaced, this must be carried out by ourAuthorised Service Centre.

• Do not let mains cables touch or comenear the appliance door, especiallywhen the door is hot.

• The shock protection of live andinsulated parts must be fastened in sucha way that it cannot be removed withouttools.

• Connect the mains plug to the mainssocket only at the end of the installation.Make sure that there is access to themains plug after the installation.

• If the mains socket is loose, do notconnect the mains plug.

• Do not pull the mains cable to disconnectthe appliance. Always pull the mainsplug.

• Use only correct isolation devices: lineprotecting cut-outs, fuses (screw typefuses removed from the holder), earthleakage trips and contactors.

• The electrical installation must have anisolation device which lets you disconnectthe appliance from the mains at all poles.The isolation device must have a contactopening width of minimum 3 mm.

• Always cook with the oven door closed.• If the appliance is installed behind a

furniture panel (e.g. a door) make surethe door is never closed when theappliance is in operation. Heat andmoisture can build up behind a closedfurniture panel and cause subsequentdamage to the appliance, the housingunit or the floor. Do not close thefurniture panel until the appliance hascooled down completely after use.

Care and Cleaning

Clean the appliance and the accessoriesbefore first use.Put the accessories and the removable shelfsupports back to their initial position.

PreheatingPreheat the empty appliance to burn off theremaining grease.

Preheat the two ovens. Heat upone oven at a time.Set the functions listed below, ifapplicable.

1. Set the function and the temperatureto 250ºC.Let the appliance operate for 1 hour.

Accessories can become hotter than usual.The appliance can emit an odour andsmoke. This is normal. Make sure that theairflow is sufficient.

Using the Mechanical child lockThe appliance has the child lock installedand activated. It is below the control panelon the right side.To open the oven door with the child lockinstalled, pull the child lock handle up asshown in the picture.

Close the oven door without pulling thechild lock.To remove the child lock, open the ovendoor and remove the child lock with the torxkey. The torx key is in the oven fitting bag.

Screw back the screw into the hole afterremoving the child lock.

Activating and deactivating the appliance1. Turn the knob for the oven functions to

an oven function.2. Turn the knob for the temperature to a

temperature.

The temperature indicator comes on whilethe temperature in the appliance increases.3. To deactivate the appliance, turn the

knob for the oven functions and theknob for the temperature to the Offposition.

Using the panel shield while grilling withopen oven doorWhen you use the grilling function withopen oven door it is necessary to attach thepanel shield below the control panel. Itprevents control panel damage because ofheat.

Warning! The shield will be veryhot when you use it while grilling.Before you remove the shieldwait until it is cold. There is a riskof burns.

1. Open top oven door.2. Position the shield horizontally.

3. Make sure the text "For grilling useonly" is on top and you can read it. The shield has magnets which let youattach it below the control panel.

Inserting the accessoriesWire shelf:Push the shelf between the guide bars ofthe shelf support and make sure that thefeet point down.

Baking tray / Deep panPush the Baking tray / Deep pan betweenthe guide bars of the shelf support.

Wire shelf and baking tray / deep pantogether:Push the baking tray / deep pan betweenthe guide bars of the shelf support and thewire shelf on the guide bars above andmake sure that the feet point down.

Small indentation at the topincrease safety. The indentationsare also anti-tip devices. Thehigh rim around the shelfprevents cookware from slippingof the shelf.

Using the core temperature sensorThe core temperature sensor measures thecore temperature of the meat.There are two temperatures to be set:• The oven temperature.• The core temperature.

Caution! Only use the coretemperature sensor supplied withthe appliance, or genuinereplacement parts.

1. Put the plug of the core temperaturesensor into the socket on the side of themain oven.

2. Put the point of the core temperaturesensor into the centre of the meat.

3. Press again and again until theindicator for the core temperaturesensor flashes.

4. Press the button or to set the coretemperature.You can set the temperature from 30 °Cto 99 °C. Refer to values in the table.

70 °C Well done5. Set the oven function and the oven

temperature.When the meat is at the set coretemperature, an acoustic signal sounds fortwo minutes. Press a button to stop thesignal.6. Deactivate the appliance.

7. Remove the plug of the coretemperature sensor from the socket.Remove the meat from the appliance.

If the meat is not cooked to yoursatisfaction, do the above steps again andset a higher core temperature.You can change the temperature at anytime during the cooking. Press to changethe set core temperature.

Warning! Be careful when youremove the tip and plug of thecore temperature sensor. Thecore temperature sensor is hot.There is a risk of burns.

Additional functions

Cooling fanWhen the appliance operates, the coolingfan activates automatically to keep thesurfaces of the appliance cool. If youdeactivate the appliance, the cooling fancan continue to operate until the appliancecools down.

Safety thermostatIncorrect operation of the appliance ordefective components can cause dangerousoverheating. To prevent this, the oven has asafety thermostat which interrupts thepower supply. The oven activates againautomatically when the temperature drops.

Hints and tips

General information• Count the shelf positions from the bottom

of the appliance floor.• The appliance has a special system

which circulates the air and constantlyrecycles the steam. With this system youcan cook in a steamy environment andkeep the food soft inside and crustyoutside. It decreases the cooking timeand energy consumption to a minimum.

• Moisture can condense in the applianceor on the door glass panels. This isnormal. Always stand back from theappliance when you open the appliancedoor while cooking. To decrease thecondensation, operate the appliance for10 minutes before cooking.

• Clean the moisture after each use of theappliance.

• Do not put the objects directly on theappliance floor and do not putaluminium foil on the components when

you cook. This can change the bakingresults and cause damage to the enamel.

Baking cakes• Do not open the oven door before 3/4 of

the set cooking time is up.• If you use two baking trays at the same

time, keep one empty level betweenthem.

Cooking meat and fish• Use a deep pan for very fatty food to

prevent the oven from stains that can bepermanent.

• Leave the meat for approximately 15minutes before carving so that the juicedoes not seep out.

• To prevent too much smoke in the ovenduring roasting, add some water into thedeep pan. To prevent the smokecondensation, add water each time afterit dries up.

Care and cleaning

Notes on cleaning• Clean the front of the appliance with a

soft cloth with warm water and acleaning agent.

• To clean metal surfaces, use a dedicatedcleaning agent.

• Clean the appliance interior after eachuse. Fat accumulation or other foodremains may result in a fire. The risk ishigher for the grill pan.

• Clean stubborn dirt with a special ovencleaner.

• Clean all accessories after each use andlet them dry. Use a soft cloth with warmwater and a cleaning agent.

• If you have nonstick accessories, do notclean them using aggressive agents,sharp-edged objects or a dishwasher. Itcan cause damage to the nonstickcoating.

Stainless steel or aluminium appliances

Clean the oven door with adamp cloth or sponge only. Dry itwith a soft cloth.Do not use steel wool, acids orabrasive materials as they candamage the oven surface. Cleanthe oven control panel with thesame precautions.

Cleaning the door gasket• Regularly do a check of the door gasket.

Cleaning the oven doorThe oven door has two glass panels. Youcan remove the oven door and the internalglass panel to clean it.

The oven door can close if youtry to remove the internal glasspanel before you remove theoven door.

Caution! Do not use theappliance without the internalglass panel.

Clean the glass panel with water and soap.Dry the glass panel carefully.When the cleaning is completed, install theglass panel and the oven door. Do theabove steps in the opposite sequence.The screen-printing zone must face theinner side of the door. Make sure that afterthe installation the surface of the glasspanel frame on the screen-printing zones isnot rough when you touch it.

Replacing the lampPut a cloth on the bottom of the interior ofthe appliance. It prevents damage to thelamp glass cover and the cavity.

Warning! Danger ofelectrocution! Disconnect the fusebefore you replace the lamp.The lamp and the lamp glasscover can be hot.
