NAMSA’s Eco Friendly Indicating Inks are water-based inks designed to monitor exposures to Ethylene Oxide, Steam, Hydrogen Peroxide (Plasma), Dry Heat and Steam-Formaldehyde sterilization processes. NAMSA Indicator Inks are used globally by manufacturers of pouches, labels, tapes, chemical indicators, films and many other applications to as-sist in the quality control process of verifying that the final product has been exposed to a sterilization process.

Eco FriendlyNAMSA’s technologically advanced Eco Friendly Ink formu-lations are manufactured with the environment in mind and are guaranteed to be non-toxic and 100% free of lead or other toxic heavy materials and contain minimal levels of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). All inks are nontoxic to printers, health care workers, patients and the environ-ment. Inks are provided with a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and Certificate of Analysis offering technical details and guidance for use.

Easy-to-UseThese unique and environmentally friendly water-based inks allow for safe and easy application with less time spent on clean-up and cost of waste disposal. In many cases, NAMSA’s water-based inks provide greater surface area coverage of substrate when compared to competitive solvent-based ink products (e.g., metal sulfide steam ink products).

Flexibility Each ink is available in a variety of initial and signal colors designed to be used with flexographic, screen, gravure or serigraph printing processes. Inks are compatible with a wide variety of substrates such as paper, tapes, Tyvek® and film.

Compliance & Testing ServicesNAMSA Indicator Inks are certified based on the standard parameters outlined in the ISO 11140-1 guidance document for Class 1 compliance. The Inks are designed to perform as higher Class Indicators when integrated into the design of a final product. Indicator inks used to monitor steril-ization processes are Class 1 compliant and cannot be certified as a higher Class Indicator. The final product class compliance is dependent on the raw material utilized in the final product and conditions under which the final prod-ucts are evaluated. NAMSA’s technical staff can provide development guidance and testing services to achieve the desired class compliance.

Reliable QualityEvery lot meets comprehensive quality standards and is ensured to be consistent in performance. Product perfor-mance is guaranteed on Certificate of Analysis documents which is included with each shipment. NAMSA’s inks are manufactured in an FDA regulated facility certified to ISO 13485:2003.
