Check out the new books in the library!

A HUGE thank you to all my fabulous student helpers! They keep the book shelved, the shelves tidy, the tables clean, the pencils sharpened and the library running smoothly. ITs a very busy room this year and I couldn't do it without them!

Scholastic Book Fair News

Our book fair has been moved this year to March. I am running it on the Thursday and Friday of Parent Teacher Conferences, to allow parents to shop with their students.

Thursday, it will run after school till 5:00 pm.

Friday, it will be open from 8:30 - 4:00 pm.

Please mark you calendars. Flyers will be sent home closer to the Bookfair.

Thanks

Mrs. Swallow

FROM THE LIBRARY

Our Interest Fair is quickly approaching! Every student in the school is involved in creating and presenting a project, either individually, in a group or as a class. If your child is interested in creating a project at home, please feel free to support this. He/She can bring that project to the school and display it at the Interest Fair.

Categories include:

♦ Canadian Historica

♦ Science Fair ( Check the rules and guidelines out before starting one, as this one is judged!)

♦ Arts

♦ Discovery

♦ Literacy

A two page letter went home earlier in January explaining all of these categories.

February 7th Agenda

♦ Set up of the fair projects: 8:30-9:30 am

♦ Judging of Science Fair -TBA

♦ School viewing: 10:45-2:30

♦ Public Viewing: 12:00-2:30 ( Feel free to come and get your child from class)

♦ Dismantle projects: 2:30-3:20

This is a school wide showcase to share our talents, strengths, interests and knowledge with others. Please consider this your invitation to attend during public viewing (12:00-2:30). All students, in every grade, will be participating in this event. Join us in celebrating their hard work!
