Kerryl Bradshaw is an accomplished Western Australian Senior Executive and
Business Leader of over 20 years, who has led businesses through significant
change, across a number of industries, including Banking, Mining,
Engineering and now Technology.
Kerryl has maintained a keen interest in technology and innovation throughout
her entire career, which has led Kerryl to her current role; Director Resources
Industry for Microsoft. An Executive role primarily responsible for assisting the
Resource Industry achieve its goals through Digital Transformation.
Kerryl also currently holds a board position on the newly formed Infrastructure
WA.
Prior to these, Kerryl held senior leadership roles in both Worley and Rio Tinto.
At Worley, Kerryl was APAC Regional Director, a multi-faceted executive
leadership role responsible for delivering the transformative strategy in
building Advisian in APAC, a technical and management consulting
organization, being accountable for People, Culture, Strategy, P&L, and
Vision. Within Rio Tinto, Kerryl held a number of executive roles across three
continents, in driving efficient operations, growth and transformation of Rio
Tinto Globally.
Kerryl is a graduate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds a
Bachelor of Commerce from Murdoch University.

Dan Hookham is Velrada’s Chief Innovation Officer and General Manager of
the Level19 business within the Velrada Capital Group. Dan is tasked with
working with established organisations, major platform partners, and start-ups
to develop and market test potential technology solutions, then build and/or
enhance teams. The ultimate focus of the Level19 business is taking these
developed solutions to a global audience and post revenue, with a view to
accelerated commercialisation.
Dan has a background in data and artificial intelligence, formally as Executive
Director with Velrada leading its national Data and AI business and delivering
solutions to clients such as South32, AusPost, ARTC, BHP and Federal
Government clients. Prior to joining Velrada Dan held Senior, data and
technology, positions in NAB focused on advanced analytics in the wealth
divisions.

Richard Marsh leads ABB’s mining automation team in West Australia. He has
30 years’ experience utilising latest technologies to improve business
performance. His industry experience spans mining, oil & gas, utilities, along
with liquor and wagering.
Richard was the foundation manager with Microsoft in WA then in NSW,
gaining knowledge in how to facilitate exponential growth from a low market
share to a global market dominant position within five years.
He has delivered significant technology projects in conjunction with major
mining and banking industry companies.
Richard currently serves as Vice Chair on the Board of the Busselton
Population Medical Research Institute, which provides vital population health
research and factual insight into elements that affect lifespan and quality of
life.

Vanessa Torres joined South32 as Chief Technology Officer in August 2018,
with overall accountability for technology, innovation and improvement,
leading a multidisciplinary team deployment across all operations and
functions within South32’s global footprint. Prior to joining South32, Vanessa
held various senior roles within BHP and Vale.
Vanessa has over 25 years’ experience spanning across three continents in
operations, strategy, projects, business development and acquisitions within
the resource industry.
She is recognised by awards such as the "100 Women of Influence"
(Australian Financial Review, 2012), 2017 Exceptional Australian Woman in
Resources (WIRNA), 2013 and 2015 "Global Inspirational Women in Mining"
(WIM-UK).
Vanessa is also a Board Member of Foodbank WA, as well as co-founder and
main financial supporter of Projeto Colmeia – a NGO in Brazil that provides
development activities for over 100 students per year, over the last 15 years.

Kate Brooks is the newly appointed Director of MTPConnect Stakeholder
Engagement WA and leads the MTPConnect WA Life Sciences Innovation
Hub, supported through the Federal and WA Governments and UWA.
Her career has spanned a range of leadership roles in research
(astrophysics), remote operations, commercialisation and corporate
innovation. Her previous roles have included Innovation Manager for
Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy and Fertilisers and Deputy Head of
Operations for CSIRO’s Australia Telescope National Facility.
Kate is an experienced speaker/facilitator and is passionate about growing the
Perth innovation ecosystem. She is currently a member of the Board of
Directors for StartupWA.

CEDA Copland Leadership Program 2020
The Copland Leadership Program is CEDA’s professional development program for emerging leaders from
corporate, government, academic and community sectors since 2011 in Western Australia.
The Program was designed with today’s fast-paced, dynamic business environment in mind. It challenges
conventional leadership thinking and teaches participants to act decisively in complex situations. In 2020, the
program will consist of seven full-day modules from May to November.
Participants are provided with access to some of Australia’s top business leaders, who will share their insights and
industry experience in highly interactive and informative group sessions.
