Haley Darrough Earns Child Development Credential
Haley started her career at Smoky Valley Child-
care Center in September 2016. She came to us
right out of high school and began providing care
in our Toddler room. She is now our head teacher
in our Beginner rooms and oversees the curricu-
lum and program development to insure we pro-
vide the most adequate and up to date care. Haley
has shown such great ambition and a willingness
to always be learning and growing. She has al-
ways sought out opportunities to better our ways
of teaching and caring for our kiddos in the com-
munity. Haley recently completed the Infant/
Toddler CDA (Child Development Associ-
ates) program and we couldn’t be more proud of
her. Please join us in congratulating Haley on her
many accomplishments and her very bright future!
~Andrea French, Assistant Director
Smoky Valley Child Care Center
The little students scream with delight as Haley squeezes the
trigger of the bubble gun.
Haley engages her students in a rhythm lesson with the wood-
en sticks.
Right: Haley assists her students in a lesson on tracing shapes
with dry erase markers.
I’ve been working at SVCCC for about
three years now, and I started working
towards earning my National Infant/
Toddler CDA Credential in August. The
University of Nevada Cooperative Exten-
sion in Las Vegas and my training coach
have been very helpful and taught me so
much in these past few months. My goal
is to give the best care possible to the
children and families we serve, and going
through this program has given me the
resources I needed to better myself and
my classroom. I’ve had so much support
from my co-workers, Nikki, and Andrea.
Its been a great experience that I am so
thankful for! ~ Haley Darrough
