MEDIA PROJECT

OPENING SEQUENCE

ABOUT

• Title name = vanish

• Genre= thriller

• Rating= 15

• Plot= A young girl about 8 years old is walking home with her nanny and then the nanny gets distracted. The girl continues to walk home on and then 3 men come out of a black auidq5/range rover, wearing scary masks. They pull up on a sidewalk to kidnap a girl who is on the phone. She is the daughter of a Mafia chief. The rival gang then drive off with the girl and it ends hopefully leading a cliffhanger for the audience.

MIES EN SCENE

Page 4: Vanish

LOCATION OF SHOOTING

Beaufort street(SW3) London, Chelsea= occasionally busy but sometimes quite

which makes it ideal to shoot. The pavement is wide therefore easier to shoot for

camera space. The road itself is in a wealthier area and the girl is associated

with wealth. This location is also very close to my house making it easy if I have

forgotten anything or need something. I’m going to be filming in the afternoon as

it is when the girl finishes school.

• Sound whose source is neither visible on the screen

AUDIENCE

• I wont the target audience to be late teens and adults. This is because it is going to be a dark thriller aimed at older not at younger kids who might get extremely scared.

• The target audience of many thrillers usually consists of adults. This is because it might include a lot of violence and some psychological issues that can be disturbing for younger audiences - especially in psychological thrillers - as well as some thrillers are more intellectually demanding.

• I’d like my audience to be on the edge of their seats when watching it the whole time and keep them involved and make sure they don't drift of.

• Rating= 15
