Humidity Resistance – RH 96:

Each of our product ranges have been tested over a period of 14 days in a humidity chamber at 96% RH and 21oC. The tested tiles should no sign of sagging

or damage to the texture and finishing.

A very simple test that can be carried out anywhere is to immerse a sample of any of our products in water for up to 1 hour. Remove the sample after the hour

has passed and leave it to dry. It will be noticed that all absorbed water evaporates leaving the product as good as new. A similar test of competing products

will result in them reducing to pulp within half an hour.

Our products do not retain absorbed moisture thus preventing them from sagging, staining and supporting the growth of fungus mould or bacteria. This

unique property ensures that our products will last the life time of any building and makes them ideally suited for areas that are exposed to constant moisture

contact. Additionally, the washability of products further lengthens there life span.

Fire Resistance – BS 476:

VANS Gypsum products are an essential component of any Passive Fire Protection system. Each product has been certified as ‘Non-Combustible’ as

per BS476 Part 7.

The key to this property again is our unique composite material. Gypsum contains approximately 21% water content and about 79 % calcium sulphate which

is inert below a temperature of 120° C. When exposed to direct flames water vapour is released into the air which both prevents the surface from igniting and

the fire from spreading to surrounding areas.

How does this property convert to fire safety for you?

1. Any electrical fire that begins above the false ceiling is contained within the area above the false ceiling (reference PamPharma Pvt. Ltd. fire in

Mumbai, 2011)

2. The usage of our boards to construct firewalls will contain the flames within that area thus preventing the fire from spreading to other areas of the

building.

Thermal insulation (0.45 W/mK):

The inherent property of Gypsum as a natural insulator will significantly reduce the air conditioning requirement in your building. This will result in

Acoustic performance of Van Gypsum ceiling tiles is very high and provide superior speech index. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE FOR FALSE CEILING TILES:

The following simple procedure is to be followed for the installation of a VANS Gypsum Grid false ceiling.

Material Required:

1. VANS Gypsum GRG ceiling tiles 2. Wall angles 3. Main ‘T’ sections 4. Cross ‘T’ sections 5. Rawl plugs 6. Soffit Cleat 7. Levelling Clips

Procedure:

1. Wall angles are fixed to the perimeter of the wall at the ceiling height

2. Rawl Plug with soffit cleat is fixed in the soffit 3. Main ‘T’ sections are suspended from the soffit cleat with help

of levelling clips 4. Cross ‘T’ sections are fixed with the Main ‘T’ sections 5. Completed framework with ‘T’ section, ready for laying ceiling

tiles 6. VANS Gypsum ceiling tiles are laid in the grid

I. Installation Specifications for 7 / 8 / 9 / 11 mm thick Square Edge Tiles 15 / 24mm T – Grid

Supply and fixing of 600mm x 600mm c/c Grid Ceiling System, manufactured using powder coated Steel Section with pre-coated (exposed surface only). Main Tee of size 15 / 24mm x 38mm x 0.30mm at every 1200 mm c/c and Cross Tee of size 15 / 24mm x 25mm x 0.30mm at every 600 mm c/c and Sub-cross Tee of 15 / 24mm x 25mm x 0.30mm at every 1200 mm c/c and Wall Angles of 24mm x 24mm x 0.40mm fixed to the periphery of the wall and the above grid is suspended from the soffit with the help of Soffit Cleat , Rawl Plug and GI wire rod of 2/3 mm dia with galvanized Spring level clips at 1200mm centres. Then VANS Gypsum GRG Water Resistant + Fire Resistant False ceiling tiles are placed in the grid of 600mm * 600mm c/c.

II. Installation Specifications for 12mm, 15mm and 20mm thick Tegular Edge Tiles on 24mm T – Grid

Supply and fixing of 600mm x 600mm c/c Grid Ceiling System, manufactured using powder coated Steel Section with pre-coated (exposed surface only). Main Tee of size 24mm x 38mm x 0.30mm at every 1200 mm c/c and Cross Tee of size 24mm x 25mm x 0.30mm at every 600 mm c/c and Sub-cross Tee of 24mm x 25mm x 0.30mm at every 1200 mm c/c and Wall Angles of 24mm x 24mm x 0.40mm fixed to the periphery of the wall and the above grid is suspended from the soffit with the help of Soffit Cleat , Rawl Plug and GI wire rod of 2/3 mm dia with galvanized Spring level clips at 1200mm centres. Then VANS Gypsum GRG Water Resistant + Fire Resistant False ceiling tiles are placed in the grid of 600mm * 600mm c/c.

III. Installation Specifications for 24mm, 29mm, 34mm thick Tegular Edge Tiles (Open Cell, Closed Cell, Dome Tiles) on 24mm T – Grid

Supply and fixing of 600mm x 600mm Grid Ceiling System, manufactured using powder coated Steel Section with pre-coated (exposed surface only). Main Tee of size 24mm x 38mm x 0.30mm at every 1200 mm c/c and Cross Tee of size 24mm x 25mm x 0.30mm at every 600 mm c/c and Sub-cross Tee of 24mm x 25mm x 0.30mm at every 600 mm c/c and Wall Angles of 24mm x 24mm x 0.40mm fixed to the periphery of the wall and the above grid is suspended from the soffit with the help of Soffit Cleat , Rawl Plug and GI wire rod of 2 / 3 mm dia with galvanized Spring level clips at 600mm centres. Then VANS Gypsum GRG Water Resistant + Fire Resistant False ceiling tiles are placed in the grid of 600mm * 600mm c/c.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE FOR SEAMLESS ( GYPSUM BOARD) FALSE CEILING:

The following simple procedure is to be followed for the installation of a VANS Gypsum Seamless false ceiling.

Material Required: 1. VANS Gypsum Square Edge Gypsum Boards 2. Perimeter Channels 3. Ceiling Angle 4. Intermediate Channel 5. Ceiling Section 6. Rawl Plug 7. Soffit Cleat 8. Connecting Clip 9. Drywall Screw 10. Jointing compound 11. Paint

Procedure: 1. Rawl Plug is fixed to soffit surface and Soffit cleat is attached to

it 2. Perimeter Channel is fixed to the wall at the required ceiling

height 3. Ceiling angles are attached to Soffit Cleats at the required

suspension height. 4. Intermediate channels are then conneected to the ceiling angles. 5. Ceiling sections are connected to the Intermediate channels are

connected using the Connecting clips. 6. VANS Gypsum boards are screw-fixed in staggering joint

manner 7. Jointing and finishing is done on square edge joint

VANS Gypsum Square Edge Gypsum Boards do not require jointing tape for finishing which results in a lower cost for the finally finished Seamless false ceiling. I. Installation Specifications for VANS Gypsum Pvt. Ltd. 1800mm x 1200mm x 9mm thick GRG Boards

Fixing of suspended false ceiling which includes providing and fixing of GI perimeter channels of size 0.55mm thick having one flange of 20mm and another flange of 30mm and web of 27mm along the perimeter of the ceiling, screw fixed to brick wall/drywall/partition with help of nylon sleeves and screws, at 610mm centres. The suspended GI intermediate channels of size 45mm 0.9mm thick with 2 flanges of 15mm each from the soffit at 1220mm centres with ceiling angles of width 25mm x 10mm x 0.55mm thick fixed to the soffit with GI cleat and steel expansion fasteners. Ceiling section of 0.55mm thick having web of 51.5mm and 2 flanges of 26mm each with lips of 10.5mm are then fixed to the intermediate channels with the help of connecting clips and in direction perpendicular to the intermediate channel at 400 c/c (max.) Single layer of 1800mm x 1200mm x 9mm Square Edge VANS Gypsum Glass Reinforced Gypsum Humidity Resistant + Fire Resistant non-paper faced natural gypsum board is then screw-fixed to ceiling section using 25mm drywall screws at 230mm centres. Screw fixing is done mechanically using either screw driver or drilling machine with suitable attachment as per manufacturers specification.

Finally the boards are to be joined and finished as to have a flush look which includes finishing the square edges of the board with VANS Gypsum Pvt. Ltd. anti-cracking jointing compound.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE FOR DRYWALL PARTITION:

Material Required:

1. Floor and Ceiling channels 2. GI Stud 3. Fixing Channel 4. Dry wall screws 5. Jointing compound 6. Packing material 7. Paint

Procedure:

1. Mark the ceiling and floor in line for the fixing of the Floor and Ceiling Channel 2. Fix the channels on the ceiling and the floor 3. Fix the GI stud to the wall for support and plug the GI studs in between the floor and

ceiling channel at 2’ c/c 4. Cut and bend floor/ceiling channel and fix to the vertical studs to make the door

opening. 5. The framework is now complete. Now fix the service pipeline before boarding

commences. 6. Fix the boards to the metal frame with drywall screws at 300mm c/c in staggering

joint manner as per requirement (single skin, double skin etc.) 7. The space between both inner sides of the partition is filled with packing material to

further enhance Thermal efficiency, Acoustic performance and Fire protection. NOTE: GI channels fixed horizontal to the GI studs may need to be installed depending on ceiling height

I. Installation Specifications for 1800mm x 1200mm x 9mm thick GRG Board Single Skin Drywall Partition

90mm thick Ultra stud partition which includes 1 layer of 1800mm x 1200mm x 9mm Square Edge VANS Gypsum Glass Reinforced Gypsum Humidity Resistant + Fire Resistant non-paper faced natural gypsum board which is screw-fixed with dry wall screws of 25mm and 35mm at 300mm centres to either side of 70mm Ultra C stud (0.5mm thick having one flange of 34mm and another flange of 36mm made of GI steel) placed at 610mm centres in 72mm Ultra Floor and ceilin channel (0.5mm thick having equal flanges of 32mm made of GI steel) which is anchored to the floor and true ceiling using suitable anchor fasteners. The boards are to be fixed to the framework in staggering joint manner to avoid leakage through the joints. A GI steel fixing channel of 99mm width (0.9mm thick having 2 flanges of 9.5mm each) is to be provided at the horizontal joints of the outer layer of boards screw-fixed to the studs using metal to metal flat head screws. 2 inch thick Glasswool / Rockwool packing is tightly filled in the space between the 2 boards. Finally the boards are to be joined and finished as to have a flush look which includes finishing the square edges of the board with VANS Gypsum Pvt. Ltd. anti-cracking jointing compound.

II. Installation Specifications for 1800mm x 1200mm x 9mm thick GRG Board Double Skin Drywall Partition

108mm thick Ultra stud partition which includes 2 layers of 1800mm x 1200mm x 9mm Square Edge VANS Gypsum Glass Reinforced Gypsum Humidity Resistant + Fire Resistant non-paper faced natural gypsum board which is screw-fixed with dry wall screws of 25mm and 35mm at 300mm centres to either side of 70mm Ultra C stud (0.5mm thick having one flange of 34mm and another flange of 36mm made of GI steel) placed at 610mm centres in 72mm Ultra Floor and ceiling channel (0.5mm thick having equal flanges of 32mm made of GI steel) which is anchored to the floor and true ceiling using suitable anchor fasteners.
