The General Membership meetings are held at 5:30 on the first Saturday

following the E-board meeting at the Roadhouse Grill.

President’s Message

This year is up and running.

Members expressed an interest in conducting a rallye from the Pismo

Derelicts location. Most folks attending this weekly Saturday event want to

go drive their machines after showing them off. I’m happy to announce that

our first rallye will be Saturday March 15th.

Also, this year our club efforts in supporting the American Cancer Society’s

Relay for Life will shift from Santa Maria to the Tri Cities/Arroyo Grande

Relay for Life. This seems like the right thing to do this year since our

membership lives across all boundaries.

Last but not least, we are always trying to find the right formula to attract

more members to our meetings. We are going to try a new approach. We

will start having E-Board meetings a half hour earlier than our regular

membership meeting. This way we only spend one night on meetings and

save the week ends for fun runs.

Meeting called to order by Hector Paz * Attendees: Hector Paz, Gale Haugen, Chris Fannello, Bill Johnson, Mark Goodman, Sheila Goodman, Al Ferguson, Harry and Joan Watson (Guests) *Joan and Harry Watson were introduced as guests. *Several flyers and newsletters were passed around for info purposes. Flyers will be included in next newsletter. Included was a Corvette Pirate Banditos Mexican Riviera Corvette Cruise. Meeting adjourned at 7:30PM. *Bill Johnson approved and Mark Goodman seconded a motion to organize non-NCCC Poker Rally following a Pismo Derelicts Saturday meeting. Karen Mack working on flyer. Two to Three club members needed to man Poker stops. Possible entry fee of $5. *Mark Goodman approved and Bill Johnson seconded a motion to organize a Club Team to support the Arroyo Grande Relay for Life event on August 2-3, 2008 *Club was asked to help at Pismo Beach Car Show. Further details will be discussed when "club's cut" is discussed by President Paz and Car Show organizer. *Possible sites for 2008 rally discussed. President Paz to contact Rich & Mary Nohr for info regarding Santa Ynez Airport and Bruce Fall regarding Lompoc Airport. *NCCC Convention was discussed. Flyer for caravan led by Allen Morris will be in next newsletter.
