A Guest Lecture on “Cloud computing” was delivered by Vishnu Prasanth, Senior Manager, CSC at Ramanujan Block, Vasavi college of engineering organized on March 26th 2011 for the students of 4/4 CSE

A Seminar on “Process Management and Product Development” was delivered by K.L. Raju Kanchubotla, Logic Design limited ,conducted at VCE on March 29th 2011 for the students of 3/4 CSE.

A Orientation Program on Campus connect Foundation Programme was organized by VCE on Feb 2nd ,2011 in association with Infosys Technologies Hyderabad at Taramathi Baradari Auditorium for B.E. 3/4 & 4/4 Infosys Selected students. The session was hosted by Mr. T. Bhanu Prasad, E&R Dept., Infosys, Hyderabad.

A Guest Lecture on preparing for career was delivered by Ms. Amy Edwards, Sr. Manager, Deloite Consulting Ltd., Hyderabad conducted on Feb 18th 2011 in seminar hall ,VCE for the students of BE 3/4 CSE.

Acumen-11 CSE

Events like Paper Presentation, online programming contest, video presentation, spin the web, use your utilities, Techathlon, projectXpo, Tech tambola, Tech debate, photo theming, Online Treasure Hunt, Workshops, Lan-Gamming, CPU-Assembling & many more spot events were conducted.

Experts from M/S Microsoft India visited our college and organized workshop on cloud computing and Windows 7 Mobile Apps which was a special event and many students found it interesting. Around 800 registrations were recorded, was given to winners of the event.

The success of Acumen-11 goes to management, principal for their timely suggestions, students & Volunteers for organizing the event, and Carsonics, CSI, Honda, and Vodafone for sponsoring the prestigious event , to all the Faculty members and Student Coordinators for taking a lead in making this program great success.

Department of Computer Science

and Engineering has organized an annual Technical Fest tilted “Acumen’11” organized during March 4th -5th 2011.

It has provided a platform for students to exhibit their technical skills and innovative ideas. Technical fest are all about learning, updating and having a practical experience of various technical concepts.

It is the platform which provides place for the

people from different areas of expertise to share their innovative idea.

CSI The activities under professional body (computer society of india ) are undertaken by the

experts from CSI professional body members and CSI student members with the intention to fill the gap between the academics and industries approaches towards the development needs in markets trends.

The following activities were organized for all the 4 years students by keeping the capability and needs of students in to consideration as per the industry trends.

With the strong intension to share the importance and demand of programming skills in the dynamically changing trends in technology market a Motivational Talk on ‘Development of Programming Skills’ was conducted by Mr.Mohit Agarwal & S. Venkatesh of 4th year CSE on Mar 6th 2011 for the students of 3rd year CSE.

Seminar on “ Project Management & Product Deveoplement” was delivered by Mr. K.L. Raju Kanchibhotla,managing director,from M/S Logic Design Limited CSI Hyderabad for students of 3/4 CSE on 29th Mar,2011.

A Seminar on ‘Network Management was

conducted by Ms.Mallika, from Wipro, Hyderabad on Mar 5th ,2011.

Workshop on ‘system assembling’ organized by team of CSI student members of 4th year CSE students in order to give the hand on experience on system assembly for 1st year CSE students on Feb 8th,2011.

Technical quiz was organized by the team of CSI students chapter of 4th year CSE for students of 3rd year CSE on Feb 26th ,2011.
