Vasíli Kandinsky

WHO WAS KANDINSKY?

•Kandinsky was a Russian painter.

He studied economics and law, but also art.

He discovered other painters like Monet and Rembrandt.

When he was 30, he went to Munich for studying art.

In Munich he met Paul Klee and then they were close friends.

Colours were in his works. He had influence by Postimpressionist and Jugendstil .

Between 1902 and 1907 Kandinsky went to France, Holland, Italy... And at the end he lived in Murnau.

In Murnau he painted some pictures.

When the 1st world war started he returned to Moscow. In 1917 he got married with Nina Andreievsky . Then they came back to Germany.

In Bauhaus (art school) his work changed a lot.
