VBC Mexico News August 2018

Dear prayer partner, Greetings dear friend. May you experience God’s blessing in your life each day. August has been a very busy month. We are grateful that Anne Louie is here to be part of the team to plant the first Mexico City Chinese Alliance church in the area of Santa Fe. Besides getting her familiar with the culture and transportation system in this mega city, we also spent time helping her find a suitable place to live in Santa Fe. The first place we found didn’t go through with the contract. But we had confidence in Christ that He will provide at the perfect timing. After a week, another place was found and she could move there on Sept.9. It happens to be in the building where we have our Thursday Bible study!!! Pray that this will open up many opportunities for her to connect and build relationship with the people there. Betty has been leading the women Bible study for the past three months. Praise the Lord! In mid-August Anne started to share the lead for this group. She also participated in this month community group by sharing about having peace and trust in the Lord while Betty did a workshop on Emergency and Earthquake precautions. We also had special guests Rebecca and Chuy share about the BraveHeart collective project among the indigenous communities in Mexico. The response was very positive; it opened their eyes and hearts about different people group in Mexico, and the compassion work that C&MA has been involved. Please pray for Anne and us that God will grant us favor to be able to move into the community that would allow us to disciple and do life together with those that the Lord is bringing. Spiritual warfare is a reality in mission work! Many times when ministries are going well there would be setbacks. Some of the setbacks are physical and emotional health, or feeling of discouragement and inadequacy. 1 John 5:14 reminds us to have confidence that God will fulfill His will in us as we pray. Our God is sovereign and faithful. Please pray with us for His protection from Spiritual attacks and pray for our physical, emotional and spiritual health as a team.

Our new APS (Approved Project Special) is now live on the C&MA website!! As of August you can donate to support the Mexico City Chinese Alliance Church plant on the website. We thank the Lord for each one of you for supporting His church in Mexico City. This APS allows us to rent spaces, purchase discipleship materials and church equipments. Please pray with us that God will provide the needed fund for this APS.
