But as usual, i recommend to you to see a little concept about cloud computing like category, type of hypervisor and services etc in my previous paper. If you feel the Eucalyptus very difficult to you, please use Proxmox or OpenStack. Now we are using eSXi as a host vSphere server  build on VMWare Workstation as a Nested Virtual Machine. Let s take a look. Requirement You re require only one notebook with these specification or more equal than this one; Hardware: ASUS X450J, intel i7-4710HQ, Memory 12GiB, HDD 1TB, Intel VT-X/ EPT/ AMD-V enabled. Software: (Host) Windows 8 64-Bit as a Host, VMWare Workstation 8.0.0 32-Bit, Web Browser Application. (Guest) Client Side: VMWare-vclient-all-4.1.0 (Updated to VMWare vSphere@ Client-5.1), (Guest) Server Side: VMWare-VMvisor-installer-4.1.0 as a vSphere server (also known as eSXi-4.1.0), VMWare-vCenter-server-Appliance as a .OVF file for our deployment (Open Virtualization Format) not by installer file. If above requirements aren t clear, i will show you these simple picture: For more description, you are able to running all of those requirement as a single platform by VMWare Workstation with nest ed VM method.

    INTRODUCTION

    Our goal is to simulate cloud with more large scale and

    specific requirement, before we are really ready to set them

    into the fact. But as usual, i recommend to you to see a little

    concept about cloud computing like category, type of

    hypervisor and services etc in my previous paper. If you feel

    the Eucalyptus very difficult to you, please use Proxmox or

    OpenStack. Now we are using eSXi as a host vSphere server

    build on VMWare Workstation as a Nested Virtual Machine.

    Lets take a look.

    Requirement

    Youre require only one notebook with these specification or

    more equal than this one;

    Hardware: ASUS X450J, intel i7-4710HQ, Memory

    12GiB, HDD 1TB, Intel VT-X/ EPT/ AMD-V enabled.

    Software:

    (Host) Windows 8 64-Bit as a Host, VMWare

    Workstation 8.0.0 32-Bit, Web Browser Application.

    (Guest) Client Side: VMWare-vclient-all-4.1.0

    (Updated to VMWare vSphere@ Client-5.1),

    (Guest) Server Side: VMWare-VMvisor-installer-4.1.0

    as a vSphere server (also known as eSXi-4.1.0),

    VMWare-vCenter-server-Appliance as a .OVF file for

    our deployment (Open Virtualization Format) not by

    installer file.

    If above requirements arent clear, i will show you these

    simple picture:

    For more description, you are able to running all of those

    requirement as a single platform by VMWare

    Workstation with nested VM method.

    If we have vSphere (eSXi) as a server that running on

    VMWare Workstation, we have to access them with

    desktop or web based client application (VMWare

    vSphere@ Client-5.1). Then, if we have more than one

    vSphere server, lets say 5 server so we must open 5

    vclient at least. In order to simplify this complexity, we

    are using VMWare vCenter server Appliance. It is only

    just 1 tools opened to remote them.

    TESTING

    First of all steps, make sure you have installed eSXi on

    your workstation.

    Then you deployed .OVF file for VMWare vCenter

    Server Appliance by right click opened it with WMWare

    Workstation. Those vCenter had made by used SLES 11

    64-Bit or weve known that as OpenSuSE linux.

    After installing the vCenter, you can access it with web

    browser by address https://x.x.x.x:5480/#core_login .

    Login with username and password root/ vmware by

    default and lets we wait that process configuration has

    been finished.

    Know you get the display like these;

    Instead of this, the eSXi-4.1 that weve installed also can

    be accessed by address http://x.x.x.x/ with username and

    password root/ by default.

    Honestly, the vCenter also has user interface itself by

    access https://x.x.x.x:9443/ . That is what we called

    vsphere-client or vmware vSphere Web Client with

    username and password root or

    [email protected]/ that you

    have presented it while installing. Here we are the

    We are finished installing VMWare vCenter Server

    Appliance and eSXi server/ vSphere server. Know by

    running both of them, we will create Datacenter and

    Host/ Virtual Machine (that are running on eSXi) by

    using VMWare vCenter Server Appliance.

    It presumed that you have create Datacenter with name

    Datacenter Tifosilinux and you have connected the

    eSXi into vCenter with one host added (named by PASS

    XMP). Even the license key or version from eSXi and

    vCenter doesnt support foreach others, you can use the

    evaluation mode.

    Create, delete, and manage VM/ Host by VMWare

    vSphere Web Client can be more easy right now.

    If it is too heavy for your notebook or pc with browser

    running TOMCAT addon from vCenter, you can take the

    advantage of VMWare vSphere@ Client-5.1 to remote

    vCenter, add VM, and manage them.

    It is more easy how to add some VM/ Instance, storage/

    datastore or cluster for your cloud computing right now.
