HerCanberra’s UNVEILED is changing the way Canberra brides look at
weddings.
Since launching the website’s dedicated wedding section in August and
online Magazine in October, nearly 50,000 readers have flocked to
UNVEILED’s quality, local content.
Now we’re shaking things up with a wedding event unlike anything this
city has ever seen. This is UNVEILED: The Event.
CANBERRA WEDDINGS UNVEILED
This is no run-of-the-mill bridal ‘expo’ – UNVEILED: The Event will be a
truly immersive and stylish experience.
Hosted in one of Canberra’s most pristine venues, the award-winning
National Portrait Gallery, the event will showcase everything the modern
couple needs to plan the perfect celebration.
UNVEILED: The Event will be held on Saturday 25 February 2017,
in two sessions.
• A free general admission session, from 2pm to 6:30pm
• A ticketed VIP session, from 6:30pm until 10pm.
Vendors will have over eight hours to engage with potential clients,
through both the general session and the more intimate VIP session.

ATMOSPHERES
Brides and grooms will be able to explore wedding trends as interpreted
by Canberra’s top wedding suppliers, literally stepping inside
‘atmospheres’ — themed installations featuring table and room styling,
cakes, florals, invitations, favours, fashion and more.
FOOD & WINE
Boutique caterers and wineries will be on site, giving couples the chance
to sample their wares and receive expert advice on menu matching.
FASHION SALON
A salon-style parade will showcase wedding gowns, bridal party outfits
and fashion for the groom.
POP-UP SHOPS + STALLS
Whether just looking or ready to buy, brides and grooms will be able to
learn first-hand about each vendor’s products and services.
WORKSHOPS + TALKS
From getting the most out of the wedding budget to exploring apps that
will make planning a breeze — our workshops will give couples all the
information they need to make their big day one to remember.
BEAUTY BAR
Whether they’re keen to trial a winged eye or wondering which hairstyle
is perfect for that flower crown they’re coveting, brides-to-be will be able
to talk to the experts at our Beauty Bar and find their perfect MUA or hair
stylist to match their style.
GROOM’S HANGOUT
Weddings aren’t just for the girls. Our Groom’s Hangout will give the
guys the chance to explore their essentials, such as grooming, fashion,
accessories (and maybe some beer!)
VIP LONG TABLE DINNER
At 6:30pm, the Atmospheres will be transformed into six unique dining
spaces which will give guests the opportunity to experience Broadbean
Catering’s versatile offerings. This ticketed evening will include a five-
course meal with matched wines and amazing local entertainment.

There are a range of opportunities available
to potential exhibitors: from standard ‘pop
up shops’ and stalls, to inclusion in our
‘Atmospheres’, to involvement in our fashion
parade, workshops or interactive areas.
POP-UP SHOPS/STALLS
A limited number of pop-up shops/stalls will be
available to vendors. These will be 3m x 3m
and carefully curated to ensure an appropriate
balance of industry sectors, so that all vendors
get their ‘moment in the sun’.
We are looking for stalls that are beautiful and
unique, not cookie cutter trestle tables. Think
visually gorgeous, engaging and welcoming.
We are available to assist you with your
presentation planning and can connect you
with hire providers should you require furniture
and styling elements.
Positions available: A limited number of
vendors in Photography, Videography,
Beauty, Wedding fashion, Floral Art, Furniture
and Equipment Hire, Styling, Catering,
Stationery, Jewellers, Entertainment, Wedding
Gifts/ Favours Options, Dance Lessons,
Accommodation.
Cost: $999 – includes space and promotion
pack.
ATMOSPHERES
A small number of hand-selected vendors will
be asked to develop the themed Atmospheres.
They will be brought together in small teams
that will complement their business, working
to create the most beautiful representations of
these themes.
Atmospheres will give guests the chance to
experience the work of vendors in a ‘natural
environment’ in six distinct themes ranging
from Classic Romance to Modern Luxe. This
approach to merchandising will greatly
increase vendors’ opportunity for sales, with
guests able to imagine their own wedding and
the elements they need to make it a reality.
Spots available: Strictly six vendors per sector
[Styling, Floral Design, Wedding Fashion,
Catering, Cakes, Invitations.]
Cost: $POA – includes standard pop-up stall +
promotion pack.
INTERACTIVE INVOLVEMENT
To ensure UNVEILED is as inspiring and
educational as possible, we’re seeking a
limited number of vendors to be involved in a
variety of ways: from a ‘salon style’ fashion
parade to interactive areas (such as the Beauty
Bar and Groom’s Hangout), and workshops.
To be a participant in any of these capacities,
you must be a sole site holder (not a
shared site holder). If you are interested in
participating in one of these areas, please
confirm your interest as part of the booking
process.
Spots available: Vendors from the following
sectors [Fashion, Beauty, Floral Design, Bride
and Groom Accessories, Makeup/Hair,
Entertainment, Cakes/Dessert, Invitations,
Celebrants, Transport, DJ/Live Music,
Reception Venues].
Cost: $999 – includes standard pop-up stall +
promotion pack.

WHO’S BEHIND UNVEILED?
UNVEILED is a new event by the team at
HerCanberra designed to complement our new
wedding section and online bridal magazine.
The team brings significant event management
expertise to the table, and a monthly unique
website readership of 125 000 with another
10 000 copies of our hard copy publication,
Magazine, in circulation.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AS A VENDOR FROM
UNVEILED??
As a vendor you can expect to be the focus of
all things UNVEILED. You will be represented
on our website and spread all over our social
media. This is a big deal.
UNVEILED has been planned to be an
amazing experience for the customer but,
more importantly, it has been built around you,
the vendor, getting as much from the day to
benefit your business.
Successful vendors will be contacted in
mid-December and will receive a vendor guide
with all the information you need on the event.
CAN WE SELL ITEMS ON THE DAY AT
UNVEILED?
Absolutely, you would be mad not to. Unlike
placing an ad in the paper and hoping
someone calls, you will have the opportunity
to take bookings and sales from a niche
audience, with the added bonus of making a
personal, face-to-face connection with your
potential client.
CAN WE SHARE A STALL AT UNVEILED?
Yes, we are happy for two businesses to share
one stall. Please note only one name, website
and photo can be listed per stall so you’ll need
to sort that out between you.
DO WE NEED INSURANCE AT UNVEILED?
Yes. It is essential for you to have a current
Public Liability Insurance certificate to ensure
the compulsory $10 million Public Liability.
You will be required to send a copy of your
insurance plan once you are accepted.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
We require a $200 deposit on booking,
with the balance due by 25 January 2017.
Please note that there is a 50% cancellation
fee up until one month before the event. After
this time no refunds are given after payment
has been received. There are no transfers or
rollover of credit for the next event.
HOW DO YOU CHOOSE YOUR STALLS AT
UNVEILED?
We are looking for stalls that will blow our
socks off. The presentation of this event will be
carefully curated, so your stall will need to be
visually gorgeous, engaging and welcoming.
Vendors will need to submit a Pinterest board
or photographs that represent your aesthetic.
WHAT ARE THE SPECIFICS OF THE STALLS?
Stalls are 3m x 3m and are located inside and
around the National Portrait Gallery. They will
be located throughout the venue – inside the
hall, terrace rooms, and courtyards (all stalls
will be under cover).
STUFF THAT’S GOOD TO KNOW
HOW MUCH ARE STALLS?
Stalls are $999. We are happy to organise a
payment plan with you if needed. Bump-in is
from the Friday evening before the event and
bump-out is from 10pm the night of the event.
A stallholder dinner is provided in the café
during the VIP dinner’s fashion parade.
HOW WILL YOU BE ADVERTISING THE EVENT?
We’re pretty lucky that we just happen to be
read by 125 000 Canberra women each month,
with our biggest demographic women aged 25
to 35 years. But we aren’t just going to rest on
our laurels — UNVEILED has a comprehensive
marketing and media plan and will be promoted
via a range of platforms.
Coverage and listings will be included in local
and street press, on local television and radio,
ACT tourism sites, and online via our website,
social media and print magazine.
We will also be working closely with our
partners to make sure you’re everywhere and
will distribute our flyers to city hotspots prior to
our events through the SPY Network
