VentR/C units for comfort ventilation with heat recovery for offices, restaurants, institutions etc.

Page 3: Ventilation

VentR

VentR units are particularly suitable for comfort ventilation where high efficiency (up to 80%) and small dimensions are required. An advantage of high efficiency is that the extra reheat coil can be left out, thus reducing the installation costs.

VentC

VentC units are particularly suitable for ventilation in places where the fresh air should not get into contact with the exhaust air. Therefore cross flow heat exchangers are especially suitable for industrial use and ventilation of humid rooms such as changing rooms and bathrooms. The efficiency is about 55% dry / 65% wet.

CABINET CONSTRUCTION

• Hot-dip galvanized self bearing cabinet with 50 mm insulation

• Internal partion walls are double skinned panels with 30 mm insulation

• Base frame (adjustable feets as accessory)

• Cabinet construction complies with EN 1886 class A

• Large inspection doors with hinges, handles and locks

• Circular duct connections with rubber sealing gasket on VENT 2/4

• Rectangular duct connections on the inlet to provide good air distribution through the filters and circular duct connection on the outlet on VENT 6

• Delivered in one unit (VENT 2/4) with easy manoeuvring through standard doors

• Delivered in one unit (VENT 6) but can be separated in three parts for easier manoeuvring

• Suitable for outdoor installation due to the sturdy construction (requires a roof covering which is an accessory)

Page 6: Ventilation

FANS / MOTORS

• High efficient Gebhard plug fans with low dynamic pressure drop

• The fans are balanced at the factory

• The fan wheel is connected to the motor shaft by means of a taper lock sleeve

• Frequency controlled single phase Grundfoss motors

• The fans are fitted with pressure transmitters, constantly monitoring the air volume and adjusting it to the required value.

• The fan/motor construction is fastened with finger screws for quickly removing the fans for inspection and cleaning.

HEAT EXCHANGERS

• Non hygroscopic heat wheel with up to 80% temperature efficiency at nominal air volume

• Frequency controlled motor for heat output control and free cooling

• Purge zone

• Cross flow heat exchanger with 55% to 65% efficiency (dry/wet) at nominal air volume

• Modulating by pass for heat output control, free cooling and defrosting

• Stainless steel condensate tray on exhaust side

FILTERS

• F 5 bag filters with large filter area on exhaust air side

• F 7 bag filters with large filter area on fresh air side

• Easy to change filters with an eccentric clamping mechanism, which gives a perfect seal

ACCESSORIES

• Hot water reheater coil for external duct connection, ready to mount direct to the Vent units duct connection. Electrical connection of the valve motor and frost thermostat happens by means of a cable, which is directly plugged in into the Vent unit.

• Electric reheater with a step less heat output. Electrical connection of the controls and safety thermostats happens by means of a cable, which is directly plugged in into the Vent unit.

• DX or cold water cooling coils for duct connection

• Multi leaf dampers for duct connection

• Roof cover for outdoor placing

Page 13: Ventilation

CONTROLS

• Integrated control with micro processor built in into the unit

• User friendly control panel with large display and easy navigation through the setting points

• Program timer with 20 steps

• Communication through Lon Works, or a simple BMS communication module.

Page 14: Ventilation

TEMPERATURE CONTROLS

Temperature control

• Combined control of supply and room air temperature (Outdoor temperature < 15°C supply air control, > 15°C room control)

• Control of room air temperature• Control of supply air temperature

Other methods of temperature control

• Constant supply air temperature without a reheating coil (VentR)• Night cooling summer• Override of preset temperature by means of an external 2-10V control signal

Page 15: Ventilation

AIR VOLUME CONTROLS

Air volume control

• Constant air volume control• VENT 2 Min. 400 m3/h Max. 2000 m3/h• VENT 4 Min. 600 m3/h Max. 3400 m3/h• VENT 6 Min. 800 m3/h Max. 4800 m3/h

• Forced air volume control (Air quality sensor / humidity sensor)• Variable air volume control (Duct pressure sensor)

Additional air volume control

• Compensation for dirty filters

Page 16: Ventilation

ADDITIONAL CONTROL FUNCTIONS

• Manual operation (Overrides temperature, volume in a set time)• P.I.R sensor (If a movement is registered the unit switch over to Manual operation)• Filter guard (Not possible in VAV operation)• Motion program for the rotary heat exchanger when not in use to prevent the heat

exchanger getting dirty• Alarm functions• Cooling 2-10V signal (For an on/off signal an extra module can be delivered as

accessory)• Communication to an BMS system or Lon Works communication (accessory)• Flow diagram (accessory)

Page 17: Ventilation

ADVANTAGES

Advantages of Vent units in comparison to other manufacturers

• Both cross flow heat exchanger and rotary heat exchanger are available. • Can be used as an outdoor unit.• Low internal pressure loose with high efficient fans. Therefore a low SFP figure and

running costs.• Very user friendly large display• All text in the control display normally in full words.• Step less air volume regulation.• Short delivery time (Vent units are produced in series and are normally in stock).

Page 18: Ventilation

ADVANTAGES

Advantages of Vent units in comparison to block module AHU´s

• Often it is easier to find space for several smaller units then for one big one • Installation costs are often smaller for several small units then for one big one• Ducting can be smaller and therefore cheaper and easier to hide• Different room conditions are easier to control by several small units then one big

one• Under maintenance or malfunction only a part of the ventilation system is

interrupted• It is possible to modernize or build new in stages • No problems between the Vent unit and the controls (Both are coming from

Dantherm and have been tested together before leaving the company)

• Short delivery time (Vent units are produced in series and are normally in stock)
