Established in June 2007, The O2 is now considered one of the top entertainment venues in the world. Figures published by Pollstar have revealed that The O2 sold 1.8 million tickets in 2008, half a million more than its nearest rival Madison Square Gardens, New York making it the highest selling music venue in the world.
