The 1st Congress of Geneticists in Bosnia and Herzegovina with international participation

will be held in 4* Hotel Holiday located in the center of Sarajevo.

Hotel Holiday, the successor of the famous “Holiday Inn” hotel, designed by renowned

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s architect Ivan Štraus, was built in 1982-1983 for the purpose of

hosting the guests of XIV Winter Olympic Games. It has become an icon and the landmark of

the city. Recently, it was acquired by the Europe group, well established and highly

respected hotelier corporation.

In addition to comfortable and spacious areas dedicated to rest and pleasure, the hotel also

offers one of the largest congress centers with nine air-conditioned halls.

Registration fee includes congress materials, access to scientific sessions, coffee breaks and

lunches during the Congress, welcome reception and certificate of attendance/participation.

Accompanying person fee includes name tag, access to scientific sessions, coffee breaks and

lunches during the Congress. One registered person can be accompanied by one person.

Accompanying person cannot be the first author or the presenting author.

Abstract guidelines and submission

The authors are invited to submit their abstracts online not later than the 15th of July, 2019.

The working language of the Congress is English. The abstracts shall be prepared using Times

New Roman, 12 pt not exceeding 300 words (abstract body). The title shall be capitalized, in

bold, central alignment, followed by the list of authors and their affiliations. The presenting

author’s name shall be underlined. The abstract body shall be in justified alignment. The

abstract shall not contain abbreviations/acronyms nor references.

In the online abstract submission form the type of presentation will be selected (either oral

or poster) and topic specified.

The abstracts will be peer-reviewed and the communicating author notified of the outcome.

The extended version of selected presentations will be published as full papers in the journal

Genetics and Applications.
