Method 1: Combine quantitative datasets using

weightings to produce a final index score:

• Internally or externally produced quantitative datasets are

selected, reviewed, re-scaled and combined using weightings

to produce a score for each country.

Method 2: Qualitatively assess risk using scoring frameworks

developed by Verisk Maplecroft:

• Countries are assigned risk scores following an assessment framework.

This process exploits in-house thematic and country expertise,

combining it with high quality data sources.

Sources: primary and secondary, as well as information derived and researched in-house:

• Quantitative primary data is sourced from reputable international and national sources (e.g. IMF, national statistics orgs etc).
