Hi! My name is Ms. Vermiglio (Ms. V.) and I am very excited to be joining the 5th grade team at Northwood Elementary! This will be my first year teaching in the Mercer Island School District and my third year teaching. I absolutely adore teaching children of all ages and have had the wonderful opportunity of teaching kindergarten, fourth grade, and fifth grade students. I am thrilled about the upcoming school year and can’t wait to meet you! I am also excited about our brand new school and all of the learning experiences we will be able to share throughout the school year!

I spent most of my childhood in Wisconsin and graduated from Lakeland College with a Bachelor’s in Early-Middle Childhood Education. I love the Midwest and often go back to visit my extremely large Italian family! I don’t have any pets or children but spend many evenings video chatting with my two adorable nieces. If I’m not chatting with my family I’m usually cooking or reading!

Teaching is definitely a passion of mine and I understand how important fifth grade is which is why I am confident this year is going to be wonderful and am excited to work with you and help make your transition into sixth grade a fantastic one! Can’t wait to see you!
