The Vermont Wood Manufacturers Association (VWMA) represents nearly 120 primary and secondary processors and related businesses statewide. VWMA’s mission is to support the industry in Vermont and promote its long-term viability expanding members’ presence in the marketplace, ensuring a sustainable supply of raw materials, increasing workforce skill and acting as responsible employers and community members. GWC has furnished association management services to VWMA since 1996. We are responsible for all aspects of administration and marketing including preparing and distributing public and member communications, event planning, and grant writing. GWC manages the Annual Vermont Fine Furniture & Woodworking Festival, which achieved the Vermont Chamber of Commerce’s Top Ten Fall Event award in 2008, 2011, & 2012. Other projects include the Vermont Woodshop and Forest Tours Heritage Trail guidebook, which received the 2007 Governor’s Award for Tourism Marketing Excellence, the on-line Essential Buyers Guide, the Cornerstone Resource Manual, and the Vermont Fine Furniture and Wood Products Design Competition.
