established in Holland The first bar of chocolate appeared in 1847 First milk chocolate was made in 1913

The first written mention of chocolate production

in Czech Republic dates back to 1770 The first Czech chocolate factory was Luna in

Prague, founded in 1839 The chocolate production was growing and there were lots of factories In 1896 A. Maršner established Orion company in Prague He made chocolate and sweets

As the production was growing, Maršner built

a larger factory He started to make Christmas goods –

chocolate figures

Orion

In 1952 Orion moved to a new factory with

modern production lines It specialized in chocolate bars, chocolate

desserts and pralines, Christmas chocolate selection boxes and Easter products

In 1992 the Orion company become a member of Nestlé Group

In 2002 the production moved to Zora Olomouc
