  • VERTICAL CHEMICAL CENTRIFUGAL PUMP MADE FROM METAL TYPE GVSO

    Applications

From sulphur and sulphuric acid to molten salts.

Rheinhütte PumPenthe right solution. For any fluid.

  • Over 10 different stainless steel alloys make it possible for the GVSO to be used in ap-plications involving medium pumping tem-peratures of up to 600°C. The design with a magnetic coupling allows medium tempera-tures of up to 250°C.

Different sealing variants:The advantage of the GVSO design is the shaft sealing variants which do not come into contact with any medium. This allows safe and leakage-free operation and a high degree of reliability. There is a choice of• stuffing box packing systems, also in a gas-

sealed version• mechanical seal variants in a liquid-lubrica-

ted or gas-lubricated version• magnetic couplings for reliable pumping of

    volatile media (GVSOM).

Options:On request, typical application-related vari-ants can be delivered:• Heated pump design• Outside purging of the sleeve bearings with

optional supply unit• Suction tube and / or suction strainer design• Supply equipment for mechanical seal con-

cepts can be integrated onto sole plate• Various, customised monitoring and diag-

    nostic systems

THE VERTICAL PUMP FOR CHEMICAL APPLICATIONS

Our GVSO submersible pump offers a persuasive choice thanks to its reliability, safe, leakage-free and yet also com-

pact and maintenance-friendly design with different sealing variants. This is why for many years now the GVSO offers

a universally useable vertical pump concept in the widest range of different chemical plants.

    GVSO: ALWAYS THE RIGHT CHOICE

    Rheinhütte Pumpen

If you want to solve demanding pumping tasks in the chemical industry efficiently, permanently and economically, you need more than just a coherent tech-nical concept. Experience of application, material knowledge and dialogue with you ultimately lead to the optimum solution. A way which Rheinhütte Pumpen has been following for over 150 years.

Discover the diversity of the GVSO…28 basic sizes in a single-stage or multi-stage design which meet the requirements of ISO 13709 (API 610) allow maximum flexibility even during the planning stage. This means that the GVSO covers volume flows of up to 3,800 m³/h and pumping heights of up to 150 m. Individual immersion depth adjustment from 0.5 to 18 m through the use of one or more in-termediate bearings completes the maximum level of flexibility. At the customer's request, the connecting dimensions and the shape of the sole plate can be individually adapted to the container and pressure flange. If constant temperatures and viscosities are required, e.g. in the case of molten sulphur, the GVSO is also available as a heated ver-sion. Here we offer a customised heating ja-cket system for steam and other heat transfer media. Only two additional connections for feed and discharge are required here.

the right choice for almost any use:The GVSO is ideally suited to many areas of application:• to chemically aggressive fluids such as

sulphuric acid in various concentrations and temperature ranges

    • to hot liquids such as molten sulphur, molten salts and PSA as well as

    • to liquid gases in the low-temperature range.

  • GVSO: YOUR ADVANTAGES AT A GLANCE

    One concept – flexibly adaptable

28 different pump sizes offer maximum freedom when it comes to the choice of hydraulics. Over 10 stainless steel alloys allow universal use within the chemical industry.

INDIVIDUAL Multi-stage, radial hydraulic designs and seg-ment designs which are dependent on the immersion depth cover a wide operational spectrum and make it possible to produce customised pump solutions, flexibly adap-ted to your own individual needs.

EFFICIENT The compact construction is also outstandin-gly suited to very small container openings. Thanks to the high-mounted, grease-lubrica-ted roller bearing system above the moun-ting flange, applications even in the high-temperature range can be implemented in an easy and user-friendly way. The casing design allows minimum pressure losses and thus operates in a highly efficient way.The ease of fitting and removal of the pump thanks to extended pipeline connections out-side of the sole plate area saves time – as does the exchange of roller bearings which can be done with the pump in the fitted state.

RObUST Closed radial hydraulics with double volu-te casings minimise the radial forces that occur. The separation of the pressure and shaft guide tube enables optimum lubrica-

tion of the sleeve bearings and guarantees uniform thermal expansion of the medium in the casing. In addition, defined shaft con-nections which are independent of the direc-tion of rotation allow pipes to be emptied and the pumping medium to flow back when the pump is switched off.

RELIAbLE Shaft sealing concepts which do not invol-ve any contact with the medium and the self-emptying design increases the level of reliability. The unique sleeve bearing prin-ciple allows defined forced lubrication by the pumping medium (outside lubrication also possible) and thus ensures a low level of slide bearing wear during constant pump operation. Costly oil lubrications or additional cooling which have an impact on safety are not necessary. In the case of the pump design with magne-tic drive (GVSOM), the spacer-can prevents any eddy current losses and thus ensures a constant temperature without any additio-nal forced cooling.
