WAREHOUSE + AISLEENVIRONMENTSAs warehouses grow and aislesbecome taller and longer, the needhas arisen for a luminaire that candeliver the horizontal punch whileproviding vertical uniformity.Standard aluminum high-bays canoffer a very narrow distributionbut their symmetric distributionproduces a “scallop” effect ofuneven vertical illumination.Prismatic acrylic and glass luminaires provide better verticaluniformity but at higher mountingheights it requires more luminaires to meet the horizontalluminance requirements.

OPTIMUM PERFORMANCEThe VertX aluminum reflector was designed to address theshortcomings of typical high-bayluminaires by offering an asymmetrical distribution for better vertical uniformity but witha strong downward punch to meetthe high horizontal lightingrequirements. Unlike traditionalhigh-bays that produce a symmetrical distribution, the VertXwas designed specifically to fit thelong narrow warehouse aisles thatare most common today.

ENERGY SAVINGS OPPORTUNITIESThis distribution allows the luminaires to be spaced furtherapart and deliver higher horizontallight levels versus traditional products, or use the same numberand reduce the lamp wattage ofluminaires for higher vertical uniformity and equivalent horizontal illumination. For theultimate in energy and maintenance savings, combine the VertX with Cooper Lighting’s ECONTM electronic H.I.D. ballastand LumaWatt Hi/Lo control systems. The VertX aisle lighter is the H.I.D. solution to meettoday’s challenging warehousingdesigns.

Specification FeaturesREFLECTORThe VertX is a hydroformed aluminum reflector scientificallydesigned with multiple facets to produce a long narrow distribution to provide the right balance of horizontal andvertical illumination. Rigid construction and an anodized finish ensure consistent optical performance. The bottom of the VertX reflector is symmetrical to allow easy installationof safety glass lens or wire guard accessories.

LAMPThe VertX was designed to use clear HID lamps for maximum lumen output and performance. The vertical lamporientation delivers higher lumen output and longer lamplife. Requires mogul-base 175-450W Metal Halide or 250-400W High Pressure Sodium lamps.

HOUSING + BALLASTThe VertX reflector assembles easily to either the Steeler orBenchmark housings. AV19 reflector mounts easily to theladder bracket assembly or die-cast neck and distributionscan be adjusted for precise control. The ENVA19 is providedwith a die-cast aluminum neck and provides for a widerange of distributions from concentrated to wide. Both theSteeler and Benchmark ballast housings are available withmagnetic or ECONTM electronic HID ballast. The ECONTM

offers Electronic HID ballast superior lamp maintenance and its 0-10V variable dimming capability make it ideal forwarehousing applications.

MOUNTINGSteeler and Benchmark housings ship standard with an easy slide-on die-cast aluminum mounting box with atapped opening for 3/4" conduit. Hook, cord and plugs,remote connections, Thru-Way power and pendant hooksare available. All products are also available with MWS modular wiring. MWS installs in 1/3 of the time as conduitand MC cable and offers great flexibility to address futurebuilding changes.

LUMAWATT [ IND IV IDUAL F IXTURE CONTROL]

LumaWatt motion detector works inconjunction with fixture dimmers to provide bi-level control based on anarea’s occupancy. Motion detector ispassive infrared type and reacts tochanges in infrared energy (heat) within the coverage area. LumaWatt individual fixture controls are the perfect solution for warehouseand storage area retrofit opportunities.Wiring is integrated directly to the housing without the need to run additional control wires throughout the facility.
