Training If you want to be a veterinarian in the future take as may math and science class as possible in high school.After high school you must complete 2 to 4 years of pre-veterinary studies at a college before you apply to veterinary school.Once you are accepted by a veterinary school you need to take 4 more years to get you Doctor of Veterinary Medicine .If they want to become certified specialists you must take residency at a vegetarian clinic.
