Conference Coordinator 21 Veterinary Management of African Wildlife Conference Presented by the Faculty of Veterinary Science and the South African Veterinary Association (SAVA) Wildlife Group 22 - 25 February 2017, Faculty of Veterinary Science, Pretoria Rhino and Elephant Conservation Medicine People and Wildlife Applied Clinical Practice Wildlife Diseases Nutrition Veterinary Management of African Wildlife Conference. Presented by the Faculty of Veterinary Science and the South African Veterinary Association (SAVA) Wildlife Group. This conference will be held over four days at Lecture Hall 1-35, Arnold Theiler Building situated at the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Onderstepoort, Pretoria, South Africa. The conference will have the following themes: Rhino and Elephant Conservation Medicine, People and Wildlife, Applied Clinical Practice, Wildlife diseases and Nutrition. SCHEDULE: 21 February: Pre-conference workshops. 22 -25 February: Scientific program (Programme aimed at Scientists, Veterinarians, Para-veterinarians & students.) We aim to provide an international platform for researchers and veterinarians to present their knowledge and experience and facilitate a learning and net- working opportunity of great value for veterinarians and scientists with an interest in wildlife management. Papers, case studies, research results reviewing recent advances, or relating to research into matters concerning relevant topics that will be of interest to wildlife and zoo veterinarians and scientists will be appreciated. The abstracts of the oral and poster presentations will be published. Requirements for abstracts can be found at www.vets4wildlife.co.za. The format for the abstracts is flexible, but should contain a clear objective, methods and results (where applicable) and a logical conclusion. Successful authors will be notified within 2 weeks. Submitters must be willing to accept the terms and conditions or speakers. Please complete the attached document and return to [email protected] or the organizing committee.
