A vet is a person who gives care to animals that are sick or injured. They wear white and blue clothes

Like doctors, they perform surgery and give medecine to animals when sick.

A vet is a profession, like a doctor, studying takes 4 years and you have to go to USA or England, because Hong Kong does not provide this course.

Vets need to study biology, chemistry and animal science. If you like animals and science, you might want to become a Veterinarian

Vets work in many places. They work in clinics, in animal hospitals, aquariums and in the zoo, and they even visit animals at home.

When animals are sick, vets examine them to find out why. Because animals can’t speak, they look for clues in the way an animal looks, acts and smells.

Vets treat animals all shapes and sizes, big and small, from mice to elephants and goldfish to birds

You can get started now by helping at animal hospitals or shelters. Start taking science classes and learn about animals
