Since 1920, Bodegas Parxet has been producing Cava in the Alella region north of Barcelona. The region is formed by a greatmass of granite. The soils are generally poor in nutrients with low water retention and the soil texture is variable – from therough sandy saulo on the maritime side of the area, to the sandy clays on the inland plain. The varieties planted areprincipally Pansa Blanca, Macabeu and Parellada. Tradition and history, together with the excellent vineyards combine toproduce and exemplary range of sparkling wines.

A special enzymatic reactionduring transport of the Pinot Noir fruit resulted in the stunning pale silver-pink hue of the wine. The Rosé NV was allowedenough time on the lees to develop subtle yeasty undertones but to burst with berry and cherry flavours. On the noseexpect whiffs of raspberries, cherries and a few secondary aromas of minerality. 2014 was, in winemaking parlance, and interesting vintage! Good flowering led to very good fruit set and even growththroughout the vineyard. The key to the season was to keep yields low as most vines set too much fruit. We targeted blocksto manage fruitfulness tightly through both removing canes and green harvesting. Summer was good, but was followed by awetter than normal harvest which presented some challenges. Through selective harvesting we were able to pick some verygood batches of fruit. The wine was fermented with a variety of neutral and aromatic yeasts. Separate components wereaged on lees for 8 months prior to blending and bottling.

Our Sauvignon Blanc pushes the boundaries of the typical New Zealand flavor profile. By highlighting decadent tropicalflavors, toning down the grassiness and bringing a creamy mid-palate all the way through to a crisp finish with brightminerality, we have set a new precedence for New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.

Domaine de Bellene Domaine de Bellene is a 24-hectare (59 acre) estate, with parcels in the villages of Beaune, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Saint-Roman, Santenay, Savigny-les-Beaune, Volnay and Vosne-Romanée. Their focus is on expressive, terroir-driven wines from old vines (35-100+ years old). Domaine de Bellene has what they call a “global” approach to winemaking– one that respects the environment and the terroir. As such, their vineyards have been farmed according to biodynamicpractices since 2006 and are now certified BIO. Furthermore, vinification is minimalist in approach — no enzymes, culturedyeasts, chaptalization, or acid adjustments are used, and filtration is avoided. Nicolas Potel purchased the 16th centuryestate buildings in 2005 and is working to renovate them in as green a manner as possible, ensuring that environmentalresponsibility is being integrated into all aspects of the estate. Punto Final, meaning “final period” or “full stop,” symbolizes the point at which the Bodega Renacer winemaking team hasaccomplished their common goal: a truly outstanding wine. The grapes for the Punto Final Reserva Malbec are sourcedprimarily from the Los Patos Vineyard in Perdriel, where the average age of the vines is 80 years.
