Vicarage Lane is set on the outskirts of the village of Norton St Philip, which is predominately made up of period stone built properties, and a C14 Church.

The village has an interesting and varied history, and was the site of a battle during Monmouth’s ‘Pitchfork’ Rebellion in 1685. ‘The George Inn’ was used as headquarters by the Duke of Monmouth during the battle, and is one of the oldest pubs in England.

Taking advantage of the beautiful surroundings, there are a vast assortment of countryside pursuits to enjoy in and around the village which include; pony trekking and hiking at Wellow, golfing in the nearby Bath Golf Club and Orchardleigh Golf Club in Frome and excellent sporting and leisure facilities close by at Babington House, Combe Grove Manor and Bath University. The village has a thriving cricket team with the houses being almost adjacent to the cricket pitch.

Other facilities within the village include; a village school, a general store, a nearby farm shop together with an excellent thriving community.

There is easy access to various nearby schools: King Edwards, Monkton Combe, Prior Park, Beechen Cliff and Hayesfield Girls School within the city of Bath, whilst other surrounding schools include Downside, Millfield and Dauntsey, all within a 40 minute drive.
