About Us
• Community Micro Lending helps local people without access to traditional financing to start and grow their business, or to obtain training that will lead to employment, by matching them with local lenders and providing ongoing capacity building and support.
• Start-up, business expansion and training loans
• Registered Non-Profit Society founded in 2009
The Loans
• 1-5 year repayment term
• 10% interest per annum
Max $5000 for business start up
Max $10,000 for business expansion

What do we require?
• A business idea or an existing small business
• Passion and drive
• Desire to take a training program/course to acquire/upgrade skills that will lead to employment
• Inability to obtain credit (or enough credit) from a credit union or bank

Meet one-on-one with each applicant
Loan Committee approves loans
Profile of each borrower is posted on our website (www.vcml.ca)
Members of the community can lend to the borrower of their choosing online
Each Entrepreneur borrower is matched with a mentor
Borrower repays loan and once fully repaid the lender receives principal and 2% interest
