Jackie Stewart : Jackie Stewart is an Aboriginal woman from the Kongabula tribal group of Southern Queensland. Jackie has worked in the community sector for more than 5 years. In her role at Family Worker Training + Development Programme, Jackie provides training and cultural support to Aboriginal workers and creates cultural training and resources to support cross-cultural understanding for both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal community workers. Her latest work ‘Tribe of Life’ is an art based storytelling and healing process inspired by her cultural identity and spiritual connections. Jackie also provides cultural supervision, support and training services through private practice. Maria Losurdo : Maria Losurdo has worked in the community sector for over 30 years in child and family services, women’s refuges and community development. Maria currently provides training and support to other community workers at Family Worker training + Development Programme. She develops training workshops and resources to assist people to bring social justice and cross cultural awareness into the heart of their practice and their connection with others. Maria also runs her own private consultancy and training business for the community sector.
