2017 Report Victory Christian Center

In this report, I would like to highlight several words regarding the state of Vic-tory Christian Center in 2017: Changes, Unity, Diversity, and Vision.

Jesus stated in Matthew 16:18b “…..I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”

Our responsibility at VCC is to steward The Church that belongs to Jesus Christ the Lord. We do not own The Church, as we did not pay for it, He did. The Church consists of the wonderful people of God who call Victory home, not properties or buildings.

ChangesTwo of our campuses experienced Pastoral changes in 2017. After serving Vi-

enna campus for four years, Pastor Harold Burgess made the wise decision that with aging parents in Florida who needed his attention and care, and holding down a full-time job, it was time to relinquish his responsibilities at Vienna campus. We pray God’s best for Pastor Harold, Danielle, and Landon.

Pastor Joe and Donna Thomas came Victory Christian Center in 1998 from what was then called Vienna Assembly of God. In the goodness and grace of God, we installed Pastor Joe as Campus Pastor on September 3rd. You can read more detail in the Vienna Campus report.

The Vienna campus experienced significant growth in the final six months of 2017 and Pastor Joe and Donna are enjoy-ing this new season of ministry.

As I was responsible to write the Campus Pastor’s report for Coitsville Campus contained in the annual report of VCC, I will let the explanation of changes contained in that report suffice.

UnityVictory Christian Center is One Church-Many Locations. We truly are one church: relationally, legally and financially. My

Bishop responsibilities include overseeing the eight campuses of VCC, pastoring our Campus Pastors, being CEO (Chief Executive Officer), and Chairman of the Official Board of Elders and Directors. VCC has over 100 employees, owns worship facilities of each campus, and has a large budget (see the financial report contained). I work closely with Vicki Gonzalez, our CFO (Chief Financial Officer), who has been at the helm overseeing the Accounting Department for 30 years. Also, this year Pastor Lock P. Beachum, Jr. became our COO (Chief Operating Officer) while continuing his Campus Pastor responsi-bilities at Liberty. As the 3 Cs, we work together to assure the smooth operation of VCC at large.

The Board of Elders is the top level of governmental oversight and decision-making. Those serving on the VCC Elder Board are myself as Chairman, each of our Campus Pastors, with the majority of the voting members being non-vocation-al Elders consisting of Vice Chairman Paul Smith, Jerry Thompson, Tim Meris, Dave McGoogan, Terry Marrie, Bill Fredell, John Racheck, Bill Kirker.

There is true unity at the top level of VCC. This is key as Psalm 133 teaches us that anointing flows downward, that unity is God’s heart, and where He commands His blessing!

DiversityThe prayer of Jesus in John 17 is that The Church would be one, in Christ. The unity we have at VCC is not conformity

to a cookie-cutter version of doing church, but diversity in worship and style while maintaining our DNA and Victory Culture. Loving God completely, loving others unconditionally, and loving life enthusiastically is more than a slogan—it is the foundation of our core values. We have defined some of the pillars of Victory Culture as a commitment to a culture of Honor, Integrity, and Spirit of Excellence.

We believe that vision will change with time, but culture is foundational and integral to what is built upon it.

You will see diversity on our Elder Board, Campus Pastors, Corporate Officers, employees, and campus congregations.

We believe that in a world so divided over race, gender, age and ethnicity our unity in Christ while being diverse is a witness of God’s grace and love.

VisionOur vision at VCC is based upon the truths found in John 5:19 and Proverbs 29:18

John 5:19 NKJV Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.

We have found our greatest blessing in seeking God as to what is on His heart, to be observant of what He is doing within and around us, and those things that we sense God is inviting us to co-labor with Him in doing.

1 Corinthians 3:9 AMP For we are fellow workmen (joint promoters, laborers together) with and for God; you are God’s garden and vineyard and field under cultivation, [you are] God’s building. [Isa. 61:3.]

Without God we cannot, without us He will not!

Rather than asking Him to bless what we are doing we choose to participate in what we sense He is doing.

Proverbs 29:18 MSG If people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; But when they attend to what he reveals, they are most blessed.

What keeps our fire burning within us is the statement we often make that keeps our priorities straight, “We have a world to reach for Jesus!”

At times, it may be easy to get caught up in drama of one sort or another, but we must recognize and resist the enemy’s attempt to distract us from our main goal of preaching the gospel and making disciples for Christ!

In closing, I want to thank our wonderful Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit for saving, keeping, empow-ering, and guiding us.

My partner in life, marriage, ministry, and best friend Pastor Kathie whose pursuit of God’s Presence and a fresh move of God encourages each of us to do the same. I love you! A huge thank you to our Elders, Campus Pastors, Pastoral and Sup-port staff, our hundreds of volunteers, and several thousand people who call Victory home! Without you, there would be no Victory Christian Center. We LOVE you!

Jesus stated that to whom much is given, much is required! Victory has been blessed beyond measure by God! With such a large blessing comes a large responsibility. May God help us to steward this grace with much prayer, sensitivity to Holy Spirit and to please our Heavenly Father by exalting His only begotten Son and our only Savior Jesus the Christ!

His Servant,

Bishop David L. Thomas

2017 Report Coitsville Campus

Victory Christian Center Coitsville Campus (CVC) discovered God’s faithfulness in a fuller way in 2017. 1 Corinthians 1:9 NKJV “God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”

The Annual report of each VCC campus becomes a part of the historical record. This is the purpose of sharing details herein of 2017.

For the first ten months of 2017, Pastor Daniel Houck led this campus. After serving as campus Pastor at Warren for nearly five years, as Executive Pastor at CVC, and as COO of VCC, Pastor Daniel offered to be the Pastor following our transition at Coitsville.

From the first conversation in July of 2016, Pastor Daniel and I knew this would be short term, but neither of us knew how long “short term” would be . In hindsight, it was an error in not making this fact public, although our transition team of key leaders were aware.

The decision beginning with the first service in 2017 to eliminate the first (8:30am) service enabled people to be together in one service that created a greater atmosphere of unity, but unfortunately ultimately caused a decrease in at-tendance and offerings.

A special meeting on Sunday night August 20th informed the congregation that CVC was more than $179,000 under budget and that the percentage paid of the general fund for personnel (62%) must be adjusted to the present size (at-tendance) of this campus. The personnel adjustments were overdue, as VCC went from one campus in Coitsville to eight campuses . Our Coitsville Campus often is the “sending campus”, in releasing individuals, families, and finances, which ha s affected both attendance and giving over the years.

The solution of the critical state CVC was in was (1) God’s part , leaning into His faithfulness, (2) Leadership’s part of lead-ing by example with grace and courage, and (3) the CVC congregation’s part of embracing an “All In” commitment to both the Father and His house.

The Leadership decisions that had to be made to bring all of VCC, and in particular CVC, into a healthy, sustainable place resulted in departments being restructured with several positions eliminated were difficult, but necessary.

On Sunday, October 1st, Pastor Daniel and I shared a message and announced that Pastor Daniel would be concluding his responsibilities as Campus Pastor on Sunday, October 29th.

Thankfully, on December 3rd, Pastor Daniel was elected Pastor of Gateway Church in Ashtabula, Ohio. We thank Pastor Daniel and Patti for their faithful service to VCC and Coitsville Campus, and are excited for them in their new faith adventure!

Pastors Juan and Deidre Rivera were announced on Sunday, October 29th as being the next CVC Pastors beginning on January 1, 2018, with Bishop Thomas and Pastor Kathie leading the campus during the months of November and December.

The Lord laid upon our heart to have a Thanksgiving Miracle Offering (TMO) on Sunday, November 26th. By the good-ness of God and the faithful sacrifice of the members of CVC, as well as other campuses, a miraculous $312,000 was given by year’s end!

This is the largest “one time” offering in the history of VCC and enabled us to close the year in the black with many of the givers to TMO sharing testimonies of God blessing them for their giving! To God be the glory!

It was not an easy year for this campus, but we learned more of God’s faithfulness. With His blessings, and because of the love, prayers, and patience of His people, we came through the year victorious!

Servants to Christ,

Bishop David L. & Pastor Kathie Thomas

2017 ReportNew Wilmington Campus

As we completed the 12 year Anniversary as Victory Christian Center New Wilmington (NWC), we remain grate-ful and energized in the ministry. Pastor Rob celebrated his 37 years of ministry and serving this Kingdom work in New Wilmington with Pastor Mickey (24 years of ministry). Pastor Andrew and Maria have added little Roman to their family. We sadly said goodbye to Jim Erb, who passed away in September. (Although he is rejoicing and surely doing the “ERB” shuffle in heaven!) He was the first pastor of Liv-ing Word Church (now our New Wilmington Campus) and a huge part of this campus’ history.

Missions UpdateJeff and Karin Trotter (Heaven’s Family) giving micro busi-

ness loans, bicycles, and working with human trafficking.

Richard and Anna Welch are on the field full-time with their three children, but there’s a baby four, which makes this little guy native to the land—and they are looking to adopt. Everyone is thriving in Kampala, Africa.

Jay Bennett is our YWAM missionary and doing well. Enjoyed a couple visits and a powerful message from him this year and a timely word for NWC.

Missionary Lauren Cypher got married to Mikael Wiberg in October and now resides in Malmö, Sweden as SOS Kids Evangelist & Director.

We sent 171 shoeboxes to Operation Christmas Child! This number increases every year—great job Martha Mar-tin and her team.

All-Campus events that took place on the NW Campus The “Journey to the Cross” experience was open for 10

hours during Holy Week and continues to bless so many, as they walk through the stations. Attendance was esti-mated at 350. The first “We Are One” Service took place at New Wilmington. Even with a sound system that failed, the Spirit was sweet and didn’t seem to mind.

Victory Kidz We sent 12 kids to the Victory Kidz Camp, “Running to

Win” this year. It is amazing how those six days continue to impact their lives! We also had an in-house servant camp for our 3rd-6th graders. They served at the church, “The Grove” and at homes cleaning. The GO! Conference in Feb-ruary had a fun Star Wars theme.

Mission/VK continues to support their own missionar-ies. Pete Cung and his orphanage in Myanmar. Lauren and Mikael Wiberg as they minister to the refugees in Malmö and create for the first time children festivals starting on African soil in 2017.

UNITED Youth Fifth Quarter 2017—This was our second year doing the

5th Quarter events on Friday nights following New Wilm-ington High School football games. We did three events and we had about 150 kids come. It was a great outreach.

Summer Ramp 2017—We took all of our VCC UNITED campuses to Summer Ramp in Ham-ilton, Alabama. We had about 56 teens attend this trip. It was a life changing weekend for all of the stu-dents. Many encountered Jesus for the first time, some were baptized in water, and some even received the baptism of the Holy Spirit with tongues. It was an incred-ible conference.

Stoneboro Fair 2017—Every year we park cars as a fund-raiser for our youth ministry at The Great Stoneboro Fair for four days. It was a success again this year and it provides almost all of our budget for our youth for the entire year!

MinistriesJust Men—Monthly Saturday morning breakfast.

Sweet Life Café—Monthly meetings on Saturday—La-dies Only.

28th Annual Women’s Brunch—Always a winner as our men cook and serve for the women.

Media Ministry—Singing of carols and ministry outreach to neighbors.

Prayer Ministries—Active and essential to health of NWC.

Small Groups—Active and healthy and help support the church.

Young at Heart Ministries (age 50 and up)—Trips to Sight and Sound and the Nutcracker.

Night of Worship (monthly).

Young Couples (NEW)—Meeting monthly at the church Baby sitting provided.

PB & J (Packing Backpacks with Joy)—This ministry feeds children in the New Wilmington school district that are otherwise hungry each weekend. We have a team that links with the New Wilmington churches to provide this service.

“The Grove” (formally the Overlook nursing home)—We provide a Sunday morning church service weekly and bi-monthly Bible studies.

The Amish Clinics use our facilities for women’s exams and mammograms. Fun to see the NWC coat racks filled with black capes and bonnets.

Finally, what a pleasure it is to have Bishop David and Pas-tor Kathie Thomas, and our Victory family (all 8 campuses), la-boring with us. Looking forward to all God has for us in 2018.

2017 ReportColumbiana Campus

Greetings VCC Family!

Romans 5:1-2 says “Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. 2 Be-cause of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.”

One of the greatest privileges of the church is to be able to share God’s glory, and we do that through Loving God, Loving People, and Loving Life!

It was a very good year for the Columbiana Campus. We welcomed Pastor Bob and Shelley Zwingler to our staff, and they have been an amazing addition to the team. Pastor Bob has helped teach, preach, and minister in a variety of ways during the year.

Pastor Bob joins our own Pastor Gene Brown who also helps with visitation calls, as well as teaching and lifting our hands.

And Darla Brown, who helps with so many things around the office, makes everyone’s life easier!

Our Small Group ministry was in full swing in 2017 with many groups meeting in various locations around the area.

First Wednesdays where we meet together on the first Wednesday of the month to have a meal together, worship together, and hear an encouraging message of vision for the church.

We were honored to host a motorcycle blessing at the campus in June, where many bikers from all over the area converged as Pastor Michael McGuire from Rushing Wind Bikers Church in Zanesville, Ohio brought the Word. It was a great day!

We then had our annual church picnic at OnTarget Outfitters in Canfield, Ohio. We had folks shooting archery, fishing, playing cornhole, enjoying one another’s company, and eating!

Sheri and I would like to take this time to honor our own Pastor Gene and Darla Brown, whose sacrifice of time, effort, and support help to make this campus run so amazingly well.

And we would like to take this time to thank every volunteer who selflessly works to see the Kingdom of God advance. Thank you!

In closing we would like to thank Bishop Thomas and Pastor Kathie, as well as the Campus Pastors, Vickie Gonzalez, and the VCC Support Staff.

We love you all and the best days are ahead of us!

Pastor Randy & Sheri Morocco

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us;” (Ephesians 3:20 NKLV)

We launched 2017 by declaring “Jesus Did It” while decreeing “Won’t He Do It”. In 2017, as a church family, we embraced timely navigational shifts from the Lord in preparation for our impending next season of growth. I believe I heard from the Lord concerning our church moving to a new chapter of combining our two service times in Liberty High School into an “All in One” service which we launched in February. The kiss of God was evident from the onset and for that we give God all the Glory!

Our First Wednesday Fire (FWF) services launched in January. Each first Wednesday of the month, we held a night of simply going after God in a non-traditional way, similar to “Friday Night River” style of service. Prophetic Worship, Word, Deliverance, Salvations and hearing the voice of God was our desire. I believe lives were forever changed and destinies were also revealed through the power of the Holy Spirit. Many today are yet walking in words which were released during these services.

Operation Impact (OPI), which I unapologetically call our “bedrock ministry”, continues to thrive toward making a significant difference in the lives of those who fellowship beyond the four walls of our church. Our Lord has enabled us to continually lean toward becoming “the church with reputation” for making a difference in its community. We are intentional on sharing the love of Jesus in our region, as the heartbeat of OPI is spoken through Matthew 25:35-36 “for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.” We were also excited to enlarge our territory into a partnership with the Farrell, PA local school district. Without coincidence, the Farrell, Hermitage, and Sharon areas were our leading areas of growth for 2017. We are so thankful to God for the favor he continues to bestow on us as we follow the great commission according to Matthew 28.

First Lady Gloria and I celebrated nine years of Pastoral ministry at LBC in June with a wonderful heartfelt celebration with our church family. We were honored to welcome home our spiritual parents and Pastor, Bishop David L. and Pastor Kathie Thomas via a timely and powerful word from Bishop, along with aligning and accelerating Prophetic Ministry from Momma (Pastor Kathie). First Lady Gloria and I are truly in awe and stand in amazement at all the Lord has orchestrated.

Unbeknownst to me, God had in store a promotion beyond my imagination to Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Victory Christian Center. Honor, Humility, and Amazement are just a few words that describe this path God has directed my wife and me to travel and embrace during this glorious season. I am committed to serve with integrity, grace, honor, and hu-mility while petitioning our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for vision and wisdom in these upcoming seasons.

We concluded the year with our 5th Annual New Year’s Eve celebration service, this year held at our Sunday site loca-tion Liberty High School. Our theme for 2018: “Break Out & Break N2”! A tremendous gathering of people from all walks of life celebrated and praised God for 2017, while anticipating and expecting 2018 to be our best year existentially!

We stand on tip-toe anticipation for all the Lord has in store for Victory.

2017 ReportWarren Campus

2017 was an incredible year here at the Warren Campus! If I could encapsulate the year in review in a single scrip-ture it would go like this, “But thanks be to God, who AL-WAYS leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us spreads and MAKES EVIDENT EVERYWHERE the sweet fragrance of the knowledge of Him.” 2 Corinthians 2:14

The maintenance and housekeeping teams, led by John Kascsak and Richard Bissell, have once again kept us in tip-top shape. Way to go guys!

Our Victory Kidz and Creation Station ministries continue to thrive under the leadership of Marla Fraelich and Chris-tine Tarr. They oversaw the addition of a new classroom for young children who have graduated from the nursery but are not quite ready for the VK classroom called the Lion’s Den, where young lions learn to roar!

In 2017 our Easter Egg-stravaganza outreach invited the community to the campus and we saw over 400 people fill the sanctuary from the community to hear the gospel message!

Mark Fraelich has shifted to lead our in-house security team, along with our Head Ushers Bob Brady and Richard Collier, to create an organized team that provide a secure environment and protect the anointing.

Pastor Rob and Tammy Bateman continue to passion-ately build the student ministry here at the Warren campus. And through Life Groups and UNITED, weekend services are seeing students growing in the Word of God and producing fruit that remains in their own communities. The GAP leadership team under them continues to grow as we added two amazing couples, Mike and Debra Heroux, and Jim and Danette Antes!

Pastor Dan Prox is our on-campus mission’s director and, along with Anne Bacorn, has helped us grow our Operation Impact outreach in our community to a place we had only dreamed of. We truly have the most incredible volunteers who have caught the heart of outreach and are conta-giously causing everyone around them to sense the heart of Jesus for the harvest.

Marilyn Prox continues to keep us all organized as our Office Manager. She and Pastor Dan have a heart for the people of Warren campus and continue to do things with a spirit of excellence and a servant’s heart. The Proxs have truly been an asset to me and this local body.

In March, Pastor Alan Wiebe joined our pastoral team as our chief worship leader. Our worship experience has gone to the next level. He and his wife Lori are an incredible ad-dition to our team. Look what the Lord has done!

Pastor Toni Lagaras (my amazing wife and co-laborer)has breathed new life into the women’s ministry as they launched “Sisterhood” this year. We have seen many women join the community of ladies, driven to know God

more intimately and to help one another grow in the knowledge of the Word of God. She assists me in projects big and small, and leads with love, honor, and compassion. I am honored to serve this body with her by my side.

Warren Campus is ABUNDANTLY blessed with an amaz-ing group of serve-teams and behind-the-scenes helpers! To you, we honor you and once again say “Thank You” for all that you do.

2017 found us in a place where we needed to expand our parking. So in the Spring of 2018 we will begin con-structing expansion areas on our property to make room for more parking. Our parking lot project has been named, “There’s a Space for You.” This expansion will enable us to grow our first and second services without having to build another building yet.

In 2016 I felt like the Lord spoke to my heart to “exhaust our resources,” regarding what was already available to the Warren Campus. Before we began to look for property and buildings, I felt like He was asking me to examine what was currently available and use what we have. So, after closer examination of the Warren Campus property footprint, we realized we had land resources available to create parking. We want everyone who comes to Victory to encounter God in a powerful and genuine way. We desire to teach God’s people to produce fruit that glorifies our Father in Heaven, and we want to affect as many people as possible in the process. This is the main reason behind the parking expan-sion. THERE’S A SPACE FOR YOU.

It truly is a blessing to lead this campus under the leader-ship of my spiritual parents, Bishop David L. and Pastor Kathie Thomas. My wife and I have known teachers over the years, but not many fathers and mothers that have taken us under their wing and cared about the health and well being of our souls, as well as the daily administration of the church. We recognize the delicate balance between the two and strive to follow the example of their faithful leadership. Thank you Dad and Mom Thomas.

We love each of you.

In His service,

Pastors Mikel & Toni Lagaras

Psalm 72:18-19

18 Praise the Lord God, the God of Israel, who alone does such wonderful things.

19 Praise his glorious name forever! Let the whole earth be filled with his glory.

Amen and amen!

The year 2017 was a glorious year at the New Castle Campus of Victory Christian Center. We experienced a move of God that released a manifestation of His glory throughout the year. It’s amazing how worship invokes His presence and when the presence of God is in the house you see miracles such as healing, deliverance, salvations, and hunger birth within God’s people. That is exactly what we experienced in 2017 within the ministry and God received all the glory. Not only did we see God do mighty things within the four walls, but also outside in our community as we had the opportu-nity to share the love of Christ in schools, parks, hospitals, and on the streets of the city.

It’s such a humbling experience to see God use a ministry to touch lives and transform this city through prayer, fasting, clothing people, feeding people both physically and spiritually, as we ministered to the needs of the people in our com-munity. John Maxwell said it best when he stated, “people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care” and there’s no better way to do that than showing the love of Christ.

We are a church that loves God completely, loves people unconditionally, and loves life enthusiastically, not just in words but in deeds, and we thank God for the impact that He has allowed us to have in this city as well as the body of Christ in 2017.

We look forward to seeing the ministry continue to flourish in a greater way in 2018 as the Glory of God is manifested in this city like never before. May the Father do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we can ask or think in the pursuit of forcefully advancing his Kingdom in 2018 and beyond.

Sincerely,

Pastor Alonzo L. & Jodi Waters

2017 ReportBoardman CampusPure growth—Mark 4:31

We are like a mustard seed, the smallest of seed, but God is growing us into the largest of all garden plants.

Sunday Mornings We are growing and it is definitely showing. Our base-

ment is busting out with our kids ministries and our seats in the sanctuary are filling up again! We have no room left in the parking lot and this is awesome! Pastor Mark keeps it real, with pure Gospel preaching.

New and Exciting Adult Discipleship Nights—women and men’s bible

studies called, respectively, Sisters with Swords, led by Krista Wolbert, and Men with Swords, led by Mark D’Eramo. Along with Fusion Young Adults, all meet on Monday Nights. Star Light Worship Night—we gathered in the front yard of the church and worshipped for hours. It was a very intimate time with the Lord. The Ghost Room led by Charlie Pinion—a bold, transparent, raw ministry for those who struggle with addiction. Hitting it head on!

UNITED Youth Wednesday nights, Pastor Alexsey Plotnikov has created

a fun place for teens to grow in the Lord. They have found freedom in worship, strength in friendship, and a trust for others. Pastor Alexsey has a way to make everyone feel spe-cial and important. These kids are loved and they know it!

GAP Markie Cuprik has created a safe place for middle school

kids to grow in Jesus. He focuses on real life issues. These are the awkward years and he walks everyone of them through it. He builds their confidence through God’s word. His love for worship shines loud and proud! They receive it all. He brings energy, boldness and so much love.

Victory Kidz Miss Alyssa Cuprik has such a pastor’s heart. The end-

less hours she spends preparing for her class. Her love for God’s word shines through her kids. She challenges them to learn scripture. They know every book in the bible and exactly where they can find it. She brings every story to life in an energetic way, she encourages them to ask as many questions as possible, and she answers them with pure patience and understanding. Finding Jesus was the theme of VBS this year and it was such a hit! Lots of songs, ministry, crafts, and a special guest, Pastor Gary Sweet, who happened to be Miss Alyssa’s VK teacher.

Victory Kidz Junior We had a gap, so we filled it with this new ministry led by

Mrs. Marci Freedy. God is so smart—we now have a place for these little ones to go at a pace they can keep up with. Too big for nursery, not yet big enough for VK.

Creation StationLed by a new mom herself, Laura Walters, a full bloomed

nursery ages 0-3 years. These little ones are surrounded in

a safe place. Their attention span may be short, but we manage to keep up with them, by learning songs about Jesus, bible stories, and crafts. We also teach them how to pray, and we take turns at snack time to pray out loud. Pure joy!

Wednesday Night Encounter Services Wow! The revival atmosphere on these nights leave us in

awe. These are the nights we talk about the most. They are Holy Spirit led and the power is never underestimated. We witness hunger, healing, deliverance, falling chains, and the presence of God is overwhelming. How can we leave such a spirit-filled house—people linger hours after service.

Inspire to Go Higher We launched a series at the end of the Summer called

Inspire to Go Higher. We kicked off our series with a train-ing event for all volunteers, where we equipped everyone to serve and go to the next level in their positions, because no matter how “big” or “small” every position is important in the Kingdom of God.

180 Conference We hosted the first ever 180 Conference this year. We in-

vited all eight campuses to come together at our location. Our focus was Repent, Renounce, and Restore. We had all of our Campus Pastors bring forth a message and sit in on a panel about revival. But God had other plans. We didn’t hear most of the messages because God shifted something in the atmosphere and instead, the altars were opened and pastors imparted to many different people in the room. God definitely showed up at this event and lit a fire in the room.

Sisters with Voices Sisters with Voices! We transformed this ministry into a

series of mini conferences. We built a team of women from our church and each month we hosted a conference for the women. We had high energy worship, dance teams, and intense sermons. Next year we plan to host larger confer-ences.

Up and coming 2018—No fear, No doubt, All faith. We are dreaming big,

and moving forward on our visions.

Pastors Mark & Charon Cuprik

2017 was a year of change and the beginning of a new chapter—Donna and I officially began our journey with Victory Christian Center, Vienna Campus May 7, 2017.

This was actually a homecoming, as we had originally attended here from 1984-1988. It was then Vienna First Assembly of God, where I served as the Minister of Music under the founding Pastor Bill Stevens and his wonderful wife Jean (a spiritual dad and mom to me and Donna).

We had been prayed over and released with blessing from Vienna to follow God‘s call to Victory, and our first Sunday at VCC was the first weekend of May 1988 (coin-ciding with the exact weekend of our return to Vienna 29 years later).

How did we get back to Vienna in 2017?

Bishop Thomas originally asked me to lead the transition team at Vienna as Pastor Harold and Danielle Burgess’ time pastoring Vienna had come to a close. Their last Sunday was April 30th. Donna and I were honored to be there to witness as Bishop Thomas and Pastor Kathie, and the con-gregation, did a beautiful job of honoring the Burgesses. Pastor Tyler put together a touching video and presenta-tion to bless the Burgess Family and worship leader Matt Greenawalt led in some of Pastor Harold’s favorite songs.

We do honor Pastor Harold and Danielle, and are thank-ful to them and to God for their years pastoring the Vienna Campus family. We so appreciate the leaders they had raised up, who we are blessed to have serving with us now as part of a larger team raised up since May.

We are also extremely thankful for the church members who were faithful at Vienna and still are, and for those members who served and continue to serve the Vienna body.

As I look back now to May 7th, as I preached my first ser-mon in that pulpit , I knew in my heart, I was being called by God to pastor Vienna Campus and Donna knew it too. God instantly gave us a love for the people. We knew we were home! I did not tell Bishop Thomas, as I wanted the Lord to tell him. He and I met in July and I shared what God was doing in the house and Bishop knew in that moment, God confirmed in his spirit, that I was to be the Campus Pastor of Vienna.

On Sunday, September 3rd, I was officially installed as Campus Pastor. Donna and I were overwhelmed as many of our friends and family joined us, along with the Vi-enna church family and many Victory Elders, Pastors and spouses! Bishop Thomas brought a powerful word, then he called Donna and me to the front. We were so touched as He asked Pastor Bill Stevens to join him in praying over us. Bishop spoke encouraging and prophetic words over us, then He, Pastor Stevens, the Elders, Pastors, and all gath-ered around us and laid hands on us. Bishop anointed us with oil and prayed and installed me to pastor the Vienna

Campus. Donna and I are truly humbled and blessed that God brought us to Vienna for such a time as this.

We are praising God as He is blessing Vienna Cam-pus! The Church is healthy, growing, and full of love! God has given us the privilege of pastoring the wonderful people who make up the Vienna Church family! New people have been joining the church family each month. Many of our friends are among them, and we are all making many new friends as the Lord provides the increase! We are sensing God’s presence each time we gather for worship, sharing of the word, and fel-lowship! Body ministry is alive at Vienna Campus! We are so proud of the church family as they minister to one another. The ministry and fellowship is sweet!

Each area of ministry is growing! New areas have been added with more to come! More people are becoming in-volved and finding their place serving in the body of Christ. We are thankful to God for everyone the Lord has brought into the house and for many who have stepped into areas of servant leadership.

The team is growing!

Donna and I look forward with great anticipation to every time we are together with this church family!

At Vienna we only seek to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ, and to see people come to know him and become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

Thank You Bishop Thomas, Pastor Kathie and the Elders of VCC for recognizing the call of God on us and being so supportive of the work God is doing in Vienna!

We are honored to be part of Victory Christian Center, “One Church, Many Locations”. We are loving God, loving people, and loving life!
