In addition, with the perfect fusion of patented “multiple light face recognition” technology, high performance and low power ARM processors, enterprise system achieves accurate attendance data by analyzing users’ face features and it’s becoming a ideal substitute for legacy fingerprint, smart card attendance terminals. General attendance system G1/G3 series, with friendly user GUI interface, voice prompt, touch screen operation, convenient WEB management software as well as 7*24 working endurance, is the best partner for enterprise users. Furthermore, active auxiliary illumination technologies make the systems strongly robust against light-changing environments, it’s the genuine “Outdoor” face recognition attendance system. 1.6. Environment Requirements

General type attendance system, known as the geneuine outdoor face recognition attendance system on earth, possess supreme outdoor fitness; however, direct sunlight would cause great impact on the face recognnition performance, so, both terminal and user’s face are not allowed to be sun-kissed. Environment 1: Sunlight shines into the room. As the picture shows, locations with marked blue ring are not good for terminal installation. It shall be installed at the places where there is no sunlight interference.

Environment 2: The room is surrounded by glass wall. Window curtain is necessary to shelter from sunlight. The terminal shall be installed at the place where sunlight is sheltered.

Environment 3: Sunlight shines into the room from the door. Install the terminal at the place where there is no sunlight interference.

Environment 4: Sunlight shines into the room from the door and there is glass window on one side. Do not install the terminal at the side with glass window.

2. First Use

1) Plug the terminal and the terminal will enter Standby Page after startup, touch the screen to enter Main Menu

2) Input "***" or click directly to enter Administrator Login Page, input the default password

"88888888" and then click button “#” to enter Option Menu

3) Click “User ”in Option Menu.

4) Click “New “ in User list page. 5) Click “Enroll” to register face images

6) Make face enrollment according to the instruction shown.

Note: During face template capturing processs, you'd better keep your face in the gray frame and

move your face slightly. ( Gray frame: the valid recognition scale; Blue frame: the valid pictures captured; Red frame: the invalid pictures captured )

7) When face template is registered successfully,click “Back ”and return to Main Menu.

8) Click to activate the face recognition.

3. GUI Software Operation Guidelines

3.1. User Login

User Privilege List Level Privilege Super Admin Supreme user, full access to all operations, right to edit all accounts (only super admin has the

permission to use the “super access password”) Admin Management user, access to management page, perform system settings, edit general users,

check and edit itself (super admin is able to check or edit any account) General User User operations only, no right to handle any management operation, for safety, admin and

general user accounts are registered separately ( admin account would not be used for checking on work attendance)

1) The terminal will enter standby interface after 10 seconds in standby

When users approach the terminal, the built-in human body infrared sensor will be triggered to wake the system up; then the main page will be shown as the picture below. (Touch any place of display screen, the system will also be woken up and enter the main page, more info in “Option” section)

2) Click the key . (Button means Cancel, Button means OK), System will start to

capture live face and compare face verification with templates in database 3) If the captured face is matched with any template, the verification will succeed. Then make attendance

record.

4) If unmatched, the verification would fail, a system pop-up will be given

3.2. Administrator Login

3.2.1. Super Administrator

1) Input three or click at the Main Page to enter the Admin Login Page

Note: The system will turn to Super Admin Password Verification Page directly if no other admin account has been created; otherwise Admin ID Input Page will be shown.

2) Input Super Administrator ID “1” (fixed) and , Face Recognition Page will be shown. (note: for the

first time, Password Verification Page will be displayed since there is no face template for admin, default password: “88888888”, if passed, turn into the step 4; if face template registered, turn into the step 3).

3) If the captured face is matched with specific temmplate, the verification process will succeed 4) After super admin inputs super access password or face verification is succeed, System Management

Page will be shown.

5) If failed, system pop-up will be given.

3.2.2. General Administrator

1) Input three or click at Main Page to enter Admin Login Page

2) Input Administrator ID, Face Recognition Page will be shown

3) If the captured face matched with the specific temmplate, the verification process will succeed. 4) After super admin inputs super access password or face verification is successful, System Management

Page will be shown.

5) If failed, system pop-up will be given.

3.3. System Management System Management Page will be shown if the admin is verified successfully.

3.3.1. Option

Click “Option”, the administrator can make setting for Genneral, Time and Network at this page.

1) General Setting

Language English, Simple Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Chinese(Taiwan) are available

Check tmpl. If this item is selected, system will check up the quality of the captured face images and save those high-quality templates automatically ( if Enroll is enabled, system will save the higher quality face images while registering; if Verify is enabled, system will save the higher quality face images while recognition). After enabling this mode, system will capture face images automatically.

Sense Both body sense and are available to activate the mode of one to more and

enter the face recognition. Shell ARM Enable anti-disassembly detection; alarm will be triggered when the terminal is

disarrmed without proper right. 1) Date and Time Setting

Local Time Zone: Click the pull-down arrow, the user can select local time zone

Current Date/Current Time: Click the Time button, system will display key board for user’s setting

Act as NTP-SERVER: Providee time server for other terminals so that they could get punctual time from this device

Synchronize with NTP-SERVER: If this item is selected, local time will be synchronized with the server of setting IP

2) Network Setting

Click the Network Setting button to set up IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway and DNS

Click “User Management” to enter the page for user setting

1) Add New User

Click “New”, and then User setting page will be shown a) User info.

Name:Standard versions only support name change in WEB client

Department:Standard versions don’t support department change

ID: Standard versions only support name change in WEB client

b) Face Enrollment Click “Enroll” button to make face registration and save them into database automatically

NOTE: Yellow frame means valid processing region of system

Blue frame on the face means live face is being captured;

NOTE: In order to get high-quality face template, user should move his/her face upwards and downwards at small

range

2) Edit User

Select the user to be edited and then click “Edit” button. The administrator can handle Re-enrollment.

3) Delete User

Select the user to be deleted in “Users List” and click “Delete” button.

4) Search User

Search specific user based on his/her ID

Click “Security Managemennt” to enter Security setting page and you will see “Password” and “Administrator” Setting Page

1) Password Setting

Access Password: The highest-level right to open the door will be authorized by this Super Password. System will allow

the super administrator to open the door by this password, no need to make face verification.

WEB Password: change the password for IE login

Prefix: add a unique prefix for each terminnal to make different user with the same local ID distinguishing when more than

one terminal connect to a single attendance system or form a networking synchrdonization group

Disorder Keypad: select this option to make keyboard figures positions switchable

2) Administrator Setting Click Administrator button to enter Administrator Setting Page

A. Add Administrator 1) Click “New”, then User Setting Page will be shown

Name: Standard versions only support name change in WEB client

2) Face Enrollment: Click “Enrollment” Button to make face registration and save them into database automatically

B. Edit Administrator: Select the administrator to be edited and then click “Edit” button. The administrator

can handle Re-enrollment

C. Delete Administrator: Select the user to be deleted in “Users List” and click “Delete” button.

3.3.4. Advanced Setting

Click “Advance” button, set Verify and Sound.

1) Sound Setting Activate “Key Mute” to turn off the key voice, activate “Voice Mute” to turn off the audio output, after sound

setting, click for volume testing, the default value is 70.

Click “edit” button to enable/disable each function key

Check “Active Function Keys” so that “Function Key Select Page” would be displayed before face recognition Click “Advance”, enter “Threshold Setting Page”

Mode Verification mode is one to more face recognition mode would be invoked directly by body sense from sleep mode.

Threshold The higher the threshold value is, the better the accuracy of verification will be, however the verification speed will be slower. Default setting is suggested (60).

Update Threshold

System will replace the template in database automaticallly with current face image if its likeness is higher than this threshold value. Default setting is suggested (70).

3.4. Other Operations

3.4.1. Touch Screen Calibration

When the touch screen pinpoint deviates from actual position to a certain extent, screen calibration could be performed by inputting “*#4444#” in the main page. Follow the instruction shown and click the red cross on the screen repeatedly to calibrate the touch screen.

3.4.2. System Version Check

System version information could be easily achieved by inputting “*#0000#” on the main page. The detailed system information including production model, hardware version, software version as well as the compiled data will then be displayed on the screen.

Upgrade When there is a system upgrade file in USB storage device. The terminal will reboot automatically after successful upgrade, system upgrade pop up window will be shown

4. Client-End Software Instruction

Please ensure IP address of terminal is in the same LAN as client-end PC before you run the software. Note: The default IP of terminal is 192.168.18.25.

Please enter the IP address of termminal from IE, for example, the terminal IP is 192.168.18.25, please input Http:// 192.168.18.25 and click Enter, then login Client-end software by User name and Password. Note: The default user name is admin and password is 88888888

The administrator can make the setting of Network, Time Attendance, records of attendance, attendance statistic, access records, etc. Through client-end softtware, the administrator can also perform software upgrade, gateway reboot, password change, etc.

4.14. Data Maintenance

The face feature templates of the same person created by diffetrent version system are somehow different; it will put an impact on actual recognition performance. Regarding switch of different system version, “Data Maintenance” function is provided. After software upgrade task, we recommend user to activate “Re-extract Features” manually so that optimized performance is ensured.

5. How to Use Enterprise Face Access System

Step1. Register Face Template. As the picture shows, stand in front of Terminal, the best distance between terminal and user is 0.3-0.8 meter (depending on the height of user).

Step2. Look at the camera and move the face as per the instruction mentioned above, the system will capture the face image and save them into database automattically. Step3. Stand in front of the device and input your user ID, then look at the camera. the system will make face verification automatically.

Step4. If verification succeeds, green lights and buzzer sounds. “Verification is successful” will be shown on screen. System will send a command to access controller and open the door.

Open data management tool “InOutConfig.exe”

6.1. Data Backup

Backup all data in terminal. Select “Backup” in Data Operation column to perform backup job. Enter terminal IP address such as 192.168.18.25 and source terminal SD card password as well as the file directory where the backup file will be and click OK, Then the terminal will enter “Data Backup” mode and target file will be saved with the title “SD”

6.2. Data Recovery

Restore preset backup file back to terminal. Select “Recovery” in Data Operation column to perform recovery job. Enter terminal IP address such as 192.168.18.25 and source terminal SD card password as well as the target terminal SD card password, then the file saved before and click Ok Then the terminal will enter “Data Recovery” mode and all data in terminal will be erased and overridden by the recovery file.

7. Matter Needing Attention

Super Administrator Password Setting Supper administrator possesses the privilege of full control over the terminal and is set to be unique (only one super administrator account is permitted). Because of safety, no super adminnistrator password retrieval/reset method is provided by the system. That means you should create the password carefully. We don’t recommend that it’s changed frequently.
