Coaching Handout

Quick Coaching Tips

House teams should focus on fundamental

ball control skills: serve, bump, set, hit

Skills clinics and practices should reinforce

these skills

Uses drills that encourage as many player

touches as possibletouches as possible

Before game play begins, explain to

parents that the focus is on ball control

using multiple touches, not winning as

many points as possible through 1 touch
