Alba became Director General of APUR
in 2012, after having served four years
as the agency’s vice director. Prior to her work at APUR, Alba was
Director General of the Pavillon de l’Arsenal, the information centre
on architecture and city planning in Paris. She has also served as
an advisor to Paris Mayor Bertrand Delanoë on urban renewal and
architecture and co-creator of the Roux-Alba architecture agency. As
an architect, she has worked on building renovation and city planning
operations in France, Europe and Africa.
Marton Balogh

Balogh is part of the JLL Corporate Finance
team, advising clients on equity raising, fund
strategy, acquisitions and disposals. Previously,
he worked in the Transaction & Valuation Advisory Department, advising
both private equity companies and corporates on acquisition and due
diligence processes for real assets and loans in Continental Europe.
Prior to joining JLL, he worked in Hungary with Futureal Real Estate,
focusing on real estate developments in Central and Eastern Europe.
Balogh attended the Portfolio Management Programme at Cambridge
University, holds a Diploma in Real Estate Investment & Finance
from the University of Reading and received a Certificate in Business
Administration from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Additionally, he
holds an LLM from Pazmany Peter Catholic University and graduated
with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Management from the
International Business School in Budapest.
Kate Brown

Brown is Group Sustainability Director for
Grosvenor. She is responsible for policy and
strategy guidance to Grosvenor internationally
on sustainability best practice. Brown has a particular interest in future
cities that has contributed to the Grosvenor Group ‘Living cities’ vision
which aims to help create attractive and sustainable cities which are
socially and economically robust. She recently co-authored a research
paper on ‘Resilient Cities’ ranking 50 global cities by environmental and
social resilience. Brown also serves on the Performance Committee for
the Greenprint benchmark and on the sustainability advisory board for
the US National Real Estate Investor magazine.
Jürgen Bruns-Berentelg

Bruns-Berentelg is CEO of HafenCity Hamburg
GmbH, a public company owned by the City
State of Hamburg, in charge of development of
HafenCity and other areas. Prior to this, Bruns-Berentelg held several
management positions with international property companies, often
at an executive board level. He was involved in major projects such as
Berlin Central Station or the Sony Center in Potsdamer Platz, located in
Berlin. Bruns-Berentelg is a real estate economist and in 2014 he was
appointed professor for integrated urban development at the HafenCity
University Hamburg. He is a regular national and international speaker
on issues of innovative large scale urban developments and publishes
regularly on questions of urban development.
Adam Challis

Challis joined JLL as Head of UK Residential
Research in January 2013. His experience
spans more than a decade of property
research in the UK and Canada, working with both public and private
sector clients on residential development and investment opportunities.
Challis is the author of numerous reports on market-facing issues
and is a regular presenter and market commentator in UK and
international media.
Jack Chandler

Chandler is Chairman of BlackRock’s
Global Real Estate business with a focus
on the strategic development of the platform as well as investment
and client activities. He is also a member of the Real Estate Global
Executive Committee, the BlackRock Alternative Investment Executive

Committee. BlackRock is the world’s largest asset manager with over
$4 trillion under management.
Eric Chaney

Chaney has been Chief Economist for the AXA
Group since 2008. His mission is to provide
global macroeconomic scenarios and to assess the main economic
and financial risks, for the group at large and its main entities. He is
also Head of Research and member of the Executive Committee at
AXA Investment Managers. Previously, Chaney was Chief Economist
Europe at Morgan Stanley and head of the economic forecasting unit of
the French statistical office. Before that, he was responsible for global
economic forecasts and analysis at the French Treasury.

Henry Cheng

Cheng is CEO & Executive Director of the
Shanghai-based Chongbang Group, a real
estate investment and development group
of companies co-founded in 2003 by Cheng and a consortium of
Hongkong and Singaporean investors. Since its inception, Chongbang
has focused exclusively on the development of retail-anchored
mixed-use projects in China, and has embarked on six projects of
this kind, four in Shanghai, one in the neighbouring Kunshan and one
in Hangzhou. Cheng has over 20 years of experience in real estate
development in China, primarily in Shanghai. Before co-founding
Chongbang Group, Cheng was Executive Director of Shui On Group and
Managing Director of Shui On Properties Limited.
Marcus Cieleback

Dr. Cieleback’s focus includes the risk-
return based analysis and comparison of European and global real
estate markets and the development of models for forecasting the
commercial and residential markets to develop individual investment
strategies. Within these analyses special focus is given to the
institutional framework of the markets, especially in the residential
sector, as it provides the “rules of the game”. He is a frequent speaker
at international conferences and a published author in various
international journals. Previously Dr. Cieleback worked for Eurohypo
AG as Head of Research and MEAG, the asset management company
of Munich Re Group.

inter-governmental organisations. His portfolio
of wider leadership and advisory roles includes Global Institutions

Economic Advisory Roles (such as Heart of London Business Alliance
and Advisory Panel for Greater Manchester) and Thought Leadership

Lyse Doucet

Doucet is BBC’s Chief International
Correspondent and an occasional Contributing
Editor. She presents on BBC World Service
radio and BBC World News television, and also reports for BBC Radio
4 and BBC News in the UK, including presenting and reporting for
Newsnight. She has been reporting for the BBC for nearly 30 years, with
posts in Abidjan, Kabul, Islamabad, Tehran, Amman and Jerusalem.

real estate markets. Gaw Capital Partners currently manages four real

provides services for separate account and fund management in the
US and UK markets. It has raised equity in excess of USD$4.0 billion
since 2005 and currently commands assets of USD$ 8.6 billion under
management. Gaw has over 20 years of real estate investment and
management experience, having served as Vice Chairman of Pioneer
Global Group, Founder and Managing Principal of Downtown Properties.
Andrew Ghadimi

Ghadimi has been the Head of Business

Arquitectura (RBTA) since 2012. He founded and is Managing Director
of Plane-Site, a global marketing, branding and content development
agency, specialising in the built environment. Ghadimi attended
New York University and Colombia University, studying economics,
architecture and urban planning and holds an MBA from IESE University
in Barcelona, Spain. His previous work experience is in real estate
development, finance and asset management in the United States.
Currently, he serves as Vice-Chair of Strategy for the Urban Land
Institute (ULI) European Young Leaders.
Arun Govada

Govada is the Director of Business Strategy at
UDP International - a multi-function, global,
strategic planning and urban design boutique firm based out of Hong
Kong, with offices in Hyderabad, India and San Francisco, USA. Govada
leads market insight analysis across interest markets around the globe
to develop new offerings and new markets for the firm. Previously,
Govada worked with IBM in New York and in Shanghai with global
project management roles that were focused on increasing supply chain
efficiency and employee productivity. Govada holds a Bachelor’s Degree
with honours from the Boston University School of Management and is on
the ULI Young Leaders Group Executive Committee in Hong Kong and is
the Co-Chair for Asia Pacific of the ULI Global Young Leader Network.

Charles Graham
Principal and Founder, Europa Capital LLP

Prior to establishing the European fund
manager, BPFM, with Sir John Beckwith,
Richard Ellis and AIG in 1994, Graham spent
14 years in North America working in development, first with the
Canadian group Knowlton Realty Ltd and then, as CEO of London &
Edinburgh Trust PLC’s US subsidiary, undertaking developments across
the US. In 1999, BPFM reformed as the independently owned Europa
Capital, which has sponsored seven European real estate funds to
date, investing €8 billion in more than 80 investments in 18 countries.
Graham is a long-standing member of both ULI and the Pension Real
Estate Association. He was a Founder of the Reading Real Estate
Foundation, where he served as Trustee until 2014.
Pieter Hendrikse

Hendrikse is CEO EMEA of CBRE Global
Investors and is responsible for all real-
estate investment management activities in
the regions. This currently comprises €26.1 billion of assets under
management in 17 countries managed by more than a team of
600 people. He is Chairman of the company’s European Executive
Committee, and a member of the Global Executive Committee, the
Global Leadership Team and the Global Investment Committee.
Chris Igwe
Head of Retail, France and Senior Director

Igwe is a leading authority on global retail. In
2007 he joined CBRE as Head of Retail France.
Based in Paris, Igwe’s retail clients have included many well-known
brands: Calvin Klein, Costco, Disney, Esprit, Farrow & Ball, Hard Rock
Café, Michael Kors, Nike, TUMI. After heading European Real Estate for
Foot Locker and Gap, Igwe joined ICSC as European Managing Director.
He then founded Chris Igwe International, successfully growing brands
across Europe. Igwe is an international speaker and has been a Jury
Member for international organizations. A Chartered Civil Engineer
and member of ICSC and ULI, Igwe is a co-founder of Retailp.com, the
leading European retail information website. He is a Mapic Steering
Committee Member and holds a BSc in Civil Engineering and an MSc in
Geotechnical Engineering.
Josip Kardun

Kardun became the CEO of Atrium European
Real Estate in November 2014. Prior to this,
he served as it’s Deputy CEO and the Group
Chief Operating Officer. Kardun joined Atrium from European retail
property specialists ECE Projektmanagement (ECE), where he was the
Chief Investment Officer and Head of Mergers and Acquisitions and
Transaction Management Group. He worked at ECE for seven years.

Dr Liu is an architect-planner. He is a member
of several governmental bodies in Singapore,
and planning advisor to over 30 cities in China.
As the CEO of the Singapore Housing & Development Board, 1969-
1989, Dr Liu saw the completion of over half a million dwelling units.
In 1989, he became the CEO & Chief Planner of Urban Redevelopment
Authority for which he spearheaded the major revision of the Singapore
Concept Plan 1991. Dr. Liu is a recipient of several awards including
the Gold Medal of the Singapore Institute of Architects in 2001 and
the Medal of the City of Paris, France in 2001. He is the Founding
Chairman of Centre for Liveable Cities.
Greg Lowe

and heads Willis Group’s sustainability programme globally. As he
manages and reduces Willis’ own environmental impacts, he is also

clients, and the wider insurance industry. He is experienced in the risk
management of renewable energy, supply chains, and cities, linking
these to the climate change adaptation agenda. He also works to bridge
the worlds of policy and capital in the context of environmental issues.
Prior to working at Willis, Lowe was the Head of Sustainability at Aon.
He has also worked at UBS Investment Bank and the US Senate.

deputy Chairman of the London Development Agency and was on the
board of London First and London First Centre. She has served on and
chaired numerous arts and educational institutions and currently chairs
the British Dutch Dialogues and the London New York Dialogues.

Hamid Moghadam

Moghadam is chairman of the board of
directors and CEO of Prologis. In 1983,
Moghadam co-founded the company’s
predecessor, AMB Property Corporation, and led the company
through its IPO in 1997 and merger with Prologis in 2011. Moghadam
is a trustee of Urban Land Institute and a member of the executive
committee of its Board. In the past, he served as chairman of the
NAREIT and the REITPAC. He is also a trustee of Stanford University
and served previously as chairman of Stanford Management Company.
Alexander Otto

Haris Piplas

After graduating at the top of his class from
the University in Sarajevo, Piplas received his
postgraduate degree in Urban Design at the
Technical University of Berlin. Since 2011, he is affiliated to the ETH
Zurich and its Urban-Think Tank Chair of Architecture and Urban Design
where he works in teaching and coordinates a research project on urban
transformations in Central-Eastern Europe. He has published articles
and contributed to various publications, and was editor of the Journal of
the European Federation for Landscape Architecture. Piplas serves on
Scientific Committee at the UN SCBD Network “MediverCities” and the
Advisory Board for the Built Environment Symposium at the European
Forum Alpbach. He is active in the ULI Germany Young Leaders
Committee, the “Building Healthy Places” initiative and the Executive
Committee of ULI Switzerland.
Kari Pitkin

Throughout her career Pitkin has been involved in over $40 billion of
real estate transactions on a global basis, including the US, Australia,

Strategy Unit, where he was responsible for producing the cross
government strategy World Class Places. Rogers has written several

a senior manager and at JLL as Appraiser and Consultant. She holds
an International Executive MBA from Kellogg School of Management

commercial real estate business, most recently as Senior Managing
Director at Cushman & Wakefield in London where he runs their
International Desk for EMEA, providing cross-border transaction and

Victor was one of the firm’s leading brokers in San Francisco where he
represented a wide range of landlord and occupier clients. During this
period, he was involved in transactions with many small, high-growth

Zehner is Global Head of the Client Capital
Group at LaSalle and is a member of LaSalle’s
Global Management Committee. He is responsible for leading LaSalle’s
global activities relating to capital raising, new product development,
merchant banking and large-scale, cross-border strategic investments.
He is a member of the European Debt and Special Situations Investment
Committee. Zehner’s previous posts include Senior Director at AREA
Property Partners and JP Morgan Chase, where he held a number of
