(Nautical Science) degree course & B. Sc. (Maritime Science) degree course, normal vision of 6/6 is essential for each eye separately and thosewearing glasses will not be eligible for admission. Whereas in the case of joining B. Tech. (Marine Engineering) degree course, glasses will be allowed up toplus or minus 2.5.Un-aided vision should be 6/12 in both eyes minimum or 6/9 in the good eye and 6/12 in the other eye at least. For Candidates opting to discontinue the study within aperiod of one week of commencement of classes, 75%of tuition fees will be refunded, while 25% of the tuitionfees will be retained as administrative charges. After thisperiod but before one month, 50% of tuition fees alonewill be refunded. After one-month period no tuitionfees will be refunded. In such cases, rules ofrecoveries shall be as per clause (b) above. The noticeshould be received by the Chairman, Admissions or byhis representative authorised to receive such a notice.(ii) Last date for admission for BAMS will be as fixed by theCentral Council for Indian Medicine(CCIM), New Delhi.Notice to be given to Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham bystudents who intend to withdraw from BAMS course has9to reach the Chairman, Admissions ten days prior to thelast date of admission. The closing date of admission asfixed by the CCIM.(iii) If any student discontinues the studies after the last datefor withdrawal as mentioned in the preceding paras orfails to give Notice as stipulated therein he/she will beliable to pay the tuition fees for entire course period. Insuch cases, all certificates including the transfer certificatewill be issued only after payment of all dues includingtuition fees for the entire course is made.(iv). DISCIPLINEThe colleges, hospitals and hostels are parts of MataAmritanadamayi Math, the parent trust and therefore,rules and regulations as prescribed should be strictly followed.a. Ours is a hundred percent residential campus. Studentsare required to reside in the hostels and they will be allowedto visit their homes only on days as decided bythe Office of the Student Welfare from time to time.b. Only Vegetarian food will be served in the Hostel.c. Students are not allowed to keep two-wheelers and carsin the campus.d. Use of mobile phones, mp3 players, ipods, videos, cameras,laptops and all such electronic gadgets inside thecampus is prohibited.e. Smoking and drinking (alcohol) are strictly prohibited.f.
