Arminda Organista and her husband own Felipe’s Fast Food and Felipe’s Dollar Plus located at 5941 W. 35th St. Cicero is a western suburban community with a population of 83,891.

Store ChangesAs part of the Healthy HotSpot project, Felipe’s Fast Food successfully expanded store inventory to include fresh fruits, vegetables, whole wheat tortillas, low-fat yogurt and has also added healthier sandwich options to their menu. In return, the store received technical assistance, shelving, a produce stand, a scale, scale holder to weigh and bag fresh produce and a refrigerator to bring produce to the front of the store.
