CELEBRATE: NeW Anniversary

On September 29, NeW will be celebrating its anniversary. Since its founding, NeW has grown to over 20 chapters across the country. NeW continues to educate young women on conservative principles and gain national media attention. Given all of this, we think it’s time to celebrate!

NeW would like to invite you to throw a NeW Anniversary celebration event on your campus. Below is a brief checklist to help you participate. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to get in touch us by emailing info@enlightenedwomen.org.

1) Plan your day-of event: In the past, NeW chapters have celebrated with lady-like traditional tea parties, complete with gloves, hats and other attire. Some chapters baked cakes and had dessert parties. We encourage you to choose an event that demonstrates you are a NeW lady and is in line with your campus lifestyle.

2) Decide when you want to participate: Choose a day the week of September 29 to hold the event (it can be in lieu/addition to your meeting that week).

3) Pick a location: It can be an apartment, the home of your faculty sponsor, or (if it’s a nice day) on your campus/grounds in a central location to be noticed.

4) Delegate: Assign someone to be in charge of food, advertising, decoration, and day-of planning (such as games and other things you will do that day).

5) Recruit: Use this as an event to recruit new members. Ask each attendee to bring 3 friends.

6) Advertise: Get the word out through you Facebook group, Twitter, list serve, chalking, other groups, etc.

7) Enjoy! When the day arrives, have a great time!8) Pictures: Make sure you take pictures to send to
