Pattern Pieces The size of the pattern pieces will depend on the size of the ring that you purchase. For a ring with a circumference of 16 ½”, cut a rectangle of outer pouch fabric 10”x22” and a rectangle of linen 10”x22”. You want to make sure that the size of the opening at the top of the pouch is slightly larger than the circumference of the ring. The ring for this example is 16 ½”. The photo on the left shows the ring on top of the fabric cut for the body of the bag. On the right is fabric cut for the lining of the bag. Put the lining of the bag inside the outer bag and pin in place at the top

Sew the top together.

Sew the pouch opening to the ring with a heavy-duty thread.

Sew the purse loop the ring, above and below the ring.

The loop is approximately 10” long by ½ “ wide.
