SPOTLIGHT ON: The ctcLink Project | ctclink.wordpress.com | [email protected] | November 17, 2014 Thank You to all testers! We are on the home stretch and it’s all thanks to you! As of the end of November, 80% of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test scripts have been executed. Nearly 200 people from FirstLink (FLC) and Wave 1 colleges have participated in UAT. Some highlights: Core processes have successfully been tested, such as enrolling students, collecting tuition, awarding and disbursing financial aid and purchasing supplies. Payroll testing is ongoing and payroll parallel testing is planned for December. Each FirstLink college has successfully printed a PeopleSoft transcript in the new system! Accessibility testing is underway to ensure ctcLink is compliant with web accessibility standards. 749 UAT defects have been logged and only about 10 remain to be addressed and retested. As they are completed, CEMLIs (such as extensions and modifications to the system) are moving through the test stages in preparation for UAT testing by the colleges. Shout outs: o Ciber’s Tino Simon has been a testing triage star! According to Testing Lead Maureen Avery, “He always has a smile on his face, quickly understands the root cause of the defects and engages the appropriate help to resolve the issue quickly. He is a great help!” o SBCTC’s Kathy Disney has also gone above and beyond. She has done an amazing job researching the various security-related defects and has worked hard to make sure any security issues do not hold up the testers. o TCC testers were instrumental in getting UAT off to a great start and Spokane testers took on a bulk of the work near the end of UAT. Thanks to everyone who has participated. You are all UAT heroes!

SPOTLIGHT ON: TESTING

The ctcLink Project  |   ctclink.wordpress.com  |   [email protected] | November 17, 2014

Thank You to all testers! We are on the home stretch and it’s all thanks to you! As of the end of November, 80% of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test scripts have been executed. Nearly 200 people from FirstLink (FLC) and Wave 1 colleges have participated in UAT. Some highlights:

Core processes have successfully been tested, such as enrolling students, collecting tuition, awarding and disbursing financial aid and purchasing supplies.

Payroll testing is ongoing and payroll parallel testing is planned for December. Each FirstLink college has successfully printed a PeopleSoft transcript in the new

system! Accessibility testing is underway to ensure ctcLink is compliant with web accessibility

standards. 749 UAT defects have been logged and only about 10 remain to be addressed and

retested. As they are completed, CEMLIs (such as extensions and modifications to the system)

are moving through the test stages in preparation for UAT testing by the colleges. Shout outs:

o Ciber’s Tino Simon has been a testing triage star! According to Testing Lead Maureen Avery, “He always has a smile on his face, quickly understands the root cause of the defects and engages the appropriate help to resolve the issue quickly. He is a great help!”

o SBCTC’s Kathy Disney has also gone above and beyond.

You are all UAT heroes!

o Speaking of heroes, a HUGE thank you to Wave 1 colleges for supporting FLCs with their UAT testing. About 40 Wave 1 testers have participated in more than 70 testing sessions. THANKS Wave 1!
