SCCM CB 1702 to CB 1706 upgrade

1.This update shows SCCM CB1606 or higher version

2.Stop Site Maintenance activity

3.Stop deployment if any

4.Stop SQL replication if any

5.Take Backup before upgrade

New Tool in CB 1706 Configuration Manager Update Reset Tool, CMUpdateReset.exe. Use the tool to fix issues when in-console updates have problems downloading or replicating. The tool is found in the \cd.latest\SMSSETUP\TOOLS folder of the site server.

Enable Fast Ring:

Restart SMS_Exec service:

Click Check for Update button :

Review: dmpdownloader.log

Click on Monitor Tab Update Servicing Status

Start Installation

Default PFX Create feature enabled. If you want you can continue or else uncheck.

If you want to test new clients activity before upgrade production kindly create a collection and target otherwise directly enable to upgrade all production clients

Click I accept button and complete the wizard.
