SUMMER TERM Newslettere welcome back our pupils into an exciting summer term. We appreciate our parents for their support and encouragement all

through last term. The summer term will be a productive one with specially tailored activities for learning within and outside the four walls of our classrooms.

WWe are Achievers!!! We celebrate our Year 6 pupils for making us proud. DBB School was listed on the merit list of Louisville school, Ogun state, amongst others. Well done children, we are proud of you!!!Leadership Retreat 2017

A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way (John C. Maxwell). Years 5 and 6 pupils will not forget in a hurry their awesome experience during the just concluded Leadership retreat which was held at Dover Hotel, Lekki from the 3rd - 5th March, 2017. They were engaged in different sessions with seasoned facilitators. The topics covered include: Time Management, Effective Communication skills, Team Building, Conflict Resolution and lots more. Balogun). We also appreciate Mrs. Adeniyi for the treats.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM TERM 2

S-p-e-l-l-i-n-g B-e-e 2017

It was with great anticipation and excitement that pupils in the primary section welcomed the long awaited Spelling Bee competition which took place on Tuesday 28th February for the lower primary and Wednesday 1st March for the upper primary.

It was truly the best as each contestant tried to outwit the other using the right accent and poise. Thumbs up to the winners.

MatheMAGIC

The Mathemagic contest was a sheer test of mental abilities. The winners were:

GESS DUBAI 2017

The school was duly represented at the 10th Anniversary edition of GESS. It was a world class education exhibition

and conference with a difference; imparting practical teaching methods guaranteed to take the school to the next level of a 21st

century technology inclined learning centre.

The 14th of February ( Valentine’s Day) was a colourful day for the children and teachers in the nursery and primary school. Pupils came to school dressed in different colours. The primary pupils were adorned in their favourite costume such as Cinderella, Rapunzel, Elsa, Snow white, Justice League, and the Avengers.

There were lots of singing, dancing and games for the children and of course lots to eat and drink. Pictures posted on our school website speak volume and you can view hem at your spare time. Thanks to our highly esteemed parents for making it a success.

As an extension “Show You Care”, we made donations of plastic chairs to the Primary Health Centre at Ikosi-Isheri local council Development Area of Lagos state. A delegation of pupils and staff were in attendance, as the items were handed over to the Council’s Sole Administrator and the Medical Director.

Our maiden etiquette day was a great outing. The pupils practised proper cutlery setting, usage and were taught the significance of placement of their cutlery after meals. Parents are encouraged to pack a complete set of cutlery in their children’s lunch pack for

Club Fest in our Primary Section

The activities of the Easter term came to a close with the maiden edition of our club fest. The pupils showcased their talents and skills in teaching, sewing, homemaking techniques etc. This new clubs have been added to the existing ones. They include: Home makers, Brownies, Cub Scouts, Red Cross, Jets, Literary/Debating, Culture Speaks. Please note that Brownies, Cub Scouts, Red Cross will require uniforms.Thanks so much for your support.

Pyjamas DayAt the Nursery section we had our sleep-themed Pyjamas Day aimed at teaching our children importance of night rest and the kind of sleep wear for that activity. We thank all our parents for their co-operation and support. Highlights for this term:

OPEN HOUSE 2017

DBB School opens up her door to parents, friends and family on Saturday, 29th April, 2017. It will be a time to showcase our creativity in teaching and learning. The event is scheduled to hold b\from 9am and 1pm.
