Dear Principal,

The 2013 Hidalgo County 4-H Food Show & Food Challenge will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013. This is a very important activity for our 4-H members who have worked to prepare for this contest. 4-H members learn leadership and citizenship skills through their experiences at these types of events.

Participants must verify that they are eligible to participate in this event in compliance with the Texas Education Code (No Pass/No Play). In order to comply with the No Pass/No Play rule, I respectfully ask that you please notify me promptly by completing the Declaration of Eligibility Form for each student who has requested one from your campus. The completed form may be returned to our office via fax, e-mail ([email protected]) or with the student. Due to our regulations and confidentiality policy please refrain from sending grades or progress reports. The declaration of eligibility form is sufficient.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call our office at (956) 383-1026.

Your time and consideration is deeply appreciated.

Sincerely,

Christina Perez

County Extension Agent
